The 2024 Summer Concert Series takes place every Saturday during Summer from July 13 to August 24 and w features an impressive lineup of chart-topping performers including Jesse McCartney and Ginuwine. From rock, R&B to pop, there’s a concert for everyone to enjoy. Musical performances include:

All-new immersive dining experience, offering a tasty buffet-style family meal and entertainment from Sesame Street friends.

Sesame Place® San Diego, the only theme park on the West Coast based entirely on the award-winning show Sesame Streettoday announced the official opening date of the All-New interactive dining experience, Dine with Elmo & Friends, on May 31 at the All-New Sunny Day Café. The immersive experience allows guests to dine alongside their favorite furry friends and experience exclusive entertainment including singing, dancing, and photo opportunities. Season Pass Members will be the first to experience the All-New Dine with Elmo & Friends.

Dine with Elmo & Friends allows guests to get closer to their favorite furry friends than ever before as they dine alongside them. Dine with Elmo & Friends takes place in the All-New Sunny Day Café, an air-conditioned, indoor dining room on the Sesame Street Neighborhood that can seat up to 160 guests. Each Dine with Elmo & Friends experience is approximately one hour long and includes a tasty buffet-style family meal and exclusive entertainment the whole family will love! 

Reservations for Dine with Elmo and Friends start at just $41.99 for adults and children 10 years and older, and $21.99 for children ages 3 to 9. Children under 3 are free but require a reservation. SeaWorld San Diego Unveils 60th Anniversary Celebration Plans for 2024!

SeaWorld is turning 60 this year, and SeaWorld San Diego has big plans to celebrate all year long, starting on March 21st – 60 years to the day that SeaWorld first opened its gates in San Diego. Plus, for a limited time, guest can purchase Tickets, Fun Cards and Annual Passes for up to 50% off. 

To get the celebration started, SeaWorld San Diego is hosting a 60th Anniversary launch party March 21-24 that will feature:

  • A celebratory cake cutting at park opening with Byron Surrett, Chief Parks Operation Officer. Byron will speak to guests and reflect upon the company’s 60 years. This ceremony will take place each day at 10 a.m., and guests will receive a free cupcake, while supplies last.
  • Special limited-edition food & beverage options, including the return of the beloved Shamu cookie, a blue velvet cake, a 60th Anniversary Burger, 60th Anniversary Donut, specialty cocktails and mocktails, and a special 60th Anniversary IPA in partnership with Mike Hess Brewing.   • A custom Precious Moments collectible highlighting a memorable moment at SeaWorld titled “Sea a World of Wonder.” This limited-edition figurine will only be available for purchase while supplies last. Precious Moments sculptor Hiko Maeda will be at the park to sign purchased figurines and meet fans on March 21 – 24. Times will vary by day and will be available on the daily park schedule.

To add more excitement to 2024, the new “Jewels of the Sea: The Jellyfish Experience exhibit” will be opening later this year. The first of its kind for SeaWorld parks, the Jellyfish Experience will be the newest immersive and interactive aquarium at the park.  Guests to the new exhibit will be greeted by a kaleidoscope of colors and shapes in three unique galleries as if diving into the heart of the ocean.  Each of the three galleries will feature a jelly species to discover including Moon Jellyfish, Pacific Sea Nettles, Upside-Down Jellyfish, and Comb Jellies. Mardi Gras is Back at SeaWorld San Diego Starting January 27 with More Authentic Flare, Food and Festivities than Ever Before!

The event, included with park admission, lets the good times roll on select dates through February 25!

SeaWorld San Diego is rolling out the New Orleans flare, food, and festivities with the return of Mardi Gras starting January 27. During the event, guests will feel the vibes of Mardi Gras in the park with an ALL-NEW opening ceremony led by the Mardi Gras King and Queen, a Mardi Gras processional, atmospheric performers, live music, and delicious authentic food and beverage options. The event is included with park admission and will run on weekends through February 25, including Friday, February 16 and Monday, February 19.

  • ALL-NEW Mardi Gras Opening and Closing Ceremonies – Guests can join the King and Queen as they kick off and conclude Mardi Gras festivities at the SkyTower Stage each event date. New Orleans-style ceremonies include the SeaWorld Brass Band, Mardi Gras performers, and festive fun.
  • Mardi Gras Processional – Guests are invited to join in and walk with SeaWorld performers and the Mardi Gras brass band! Guests will love dancing through the park pathways to lively music.  
  • Mardi Gras Atmospheric Entertainment – Let the good times roll with performances from stilt-walkers, comedy magicians, hoop performers, and jugglers as they take over SkyTower Lawn.
  • Mardi Gras Performers & Activities – Throughout the day near SkyTower stage, guests can see talented SeaWorld performers as they show off their costumes and lead family-friendly games and activities. While at SkyTower lawn, guests can try their hand at bead toss, have their face painted, and then join the performers for dancing!

Mardi Gras isn’t complete without delicious New Orleans-style food and drinks! Guests will be able to enjoy the tastes of the South with a chef-curated specialty menu items created for the event. 

Guests can indulge in classic food dishes including a choice of Fried Shrimp or Roast Beef Po’Boys, Muffulettas, Andouille Sausage and Shrimp Jambalaya, Hush Puppies, and more. A sweet side of Mardi Gras returns with Beignets or guests can opt for Lemon Flavored Mardi Gras Bundt Cake, both pair perfectly with a tasty Café Du Monde Coffee. Drink options will also be aplenty, with a beer trailer and mimosa bar serving Hurricanes, Blue Raspberry French 75, and Purple Haze Abita Brewing Raspberry Lager.

SeaWorld San Diego’s Inside Look Event is Back Starting January 13th with All New Behind the Scenes Experiences!

An all-new dining experience with rescued animals, a jellyfish-focused Aquarium Lab tour, and more offer guests endless ways to spend their day learning about animals from the park’s dedicated team of animal care specialists.

Inside Look is returning to SeaWorld San Diego on Saturday, January 13 and continuing on select dates through Sunday, January 21. During the event, which is included with park admission, park visitors will have special access to areas of the park normally not open to general park guests, including the Rescue Center, as well as all-new opportunities to hear from animal care specialists about the park’s belugas and otters, see jellyfish up close, and learn about rescued animals.

All-New Aquarium Lab Jellyfish Tour: This paid upgrade allows guests to go behind the scenes at the Aquarium Lab to see and learn more about moon jellyfish, a species that will be featured in The Jewels of the Sea: The Jellyfish Experience exhibit opening in 2024. Guests will have the opportunity to hear about and interact with archer fish and cleaner shrimp.


All-New Inside Look Dine with Animals: For the first time, guests can upgrade their day and have the exciting ability to enjoy a delicious meal while learning more about unique rescued animals for an additional fee. At Nautilus Pavilion, guests will listen to the powerful stories of these incredible rescuedmarsupials, primates, and reptiles while enjoying a delicious chef-curated buffet meal.

Animal Care Inside Look: In addition to daily animal presentations, SeaWorld Animal Care Specialists will be hosting special Trainer Talks where guests can learn about animal behaviors, feeding, and husbandry. These 20-minute presentations will be offered daily at Orca Encounter, Dolphin Point, Sea Lion & Otter Stadium, Penguin Encounter, and for the first time, Wild Arctic Beluga Viewing Area and Otter Outlook.


Inside Orca Care Program: During this paid upgrade, visitors will meet and hear from the dedicated animal care specialists who safeguard the health and well-being of our killer whales. Park guests will view a learning and training session between the orcas and their animal care team to better understand the dynamics of caring for SeaWorld’s largest residents. 

Inside the SeaWorld Rescue Center: Guests will have a special opportunity to tour areas of SeaWorld Rescue Center, a back area of the park where the Rescue Team brings hundreds of rescued animals each year for rehabilitation. During this experience, members of the SeaWorld Rescue team will share stories about recent rescues and tour guests through the Rescue Center showing the animal care hospital and rehabilitation areas. In addition, guests will get an up-close look at the rescue truck and inflatable boat used in rescues. 

Inside and Underwater at Turtle Reef: At the Turtle Reef exhibit, guests will be able to watch zoological scuba divers interact with the turtles in the reef and play games with guests while educators share information and answer questions.

Meet Animal Conservation Ambassadors: Guests can learn and see a variety of unique rescued animals during the Feathers, Scales, and Furry Rescue Tails presentation located at Nautilus Amphitheater. This fun and educational presentation at Mission Bay Theater shares the story of Conservation Ambassadors, animal care, and rescue. Guests will meet many incredible rescued animals, such as marsupials, primates, and reptiles, and learn about their unique stories.

Connections with Conservation Partners: Inside Look will spotlight conservation organizations in the local community that SeaWorld partners with as a part of “Inside Look Connections” on Skytower Lawn. Organizations such as Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute, Living Coast Discovery Center, Project Wildlife, Helen Woodward Animal Center, Surfrider Foundation, as well as SeaWorld Rescue, will have booths where guests can ask questions and learn about their important work.

Sesame Place San Diego Kicks Off 2024 With 11 Weekends of Special Family Fun During All-New Elmo’s Furry Fun Fest!

Each weekend will celebrate a different furry friend and include unique and exciting activities for the whole family

Sesame Place® San Diego, the only theme park on the West Coast based entirely on the award-winning show Sesame Street®, is kicking off 2024 with the ALL-NEW Elmo’s Furry Fun Fest, a fantastic celebration of everyone’s favorite furry friends!   • All-New Santa’s Grand Illumination Ceremony – On November 10, the park will light an all-new 24-foot Christmas tree for the first time. This interactive ceremony will include special performances from Jingle Bell the Elf, Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster, and Rosita. Santa Claus will also make a very special appearance to share Christmas joy and holiday cheer with all the park guests!
  • All-New Christmas Lights – New this season, guests will see Sesame Place transformed into a one-of-a-kind Christmas wonderland with thousands of twinkling, colorful lights around the park. 
  • All-New Photos with Santa Claus – On select dates, guests will be able to visit Santa Claus at Sesame Place San Diego for the first time to take holiday photos and share their Christmas wishes!
  • All-New Golden Gift Hunt – Each day from November 10 to December 25, a Golden Gift will be hidden somewhere in the park upon park open! The guest that finds it and turns it in will win a special exclusive prize.

SeaWorld San Diego is bringing festive cheer and special traditions to families this holiday season at its annual Christmas Celebration with all-new and reimagined holiday offerings. Nominated for 2024 Best Theme Park Holiday Event by USAToday 10Best, the park will transform into a winter wonderland under the iconic SkyTower Tree of Lights decorated as a Christmas tree in all green with red sprinkles of lights, and event offerings include the All-New O.P Otter’s Holiday Sing-A-Long, Mrs. Claus’s Christmas Parade, live reindeer, a daily tree lighting of a twinkling 30-foot Christmas tree, and more. Holiday celebrations, including Hanukkah festivities, are running on select dates November 17 through January 7, 2023.

All-New Entertainment and Festive Holiday Traditions for the Whole Family

Guests of all ages will enjoy the All-New O.P. Otter’s Holiday Sing-A-Long, playing at Mission Bay Theater multiple times per day. Guests won’t be able to resist singing alongside O.P Otter as he celebrates the holiday season by singing and dancing to classic Christmas tunes!

  • A Stocking Full of Soul Theater Show – This reimagined fan-favorite show takes to a bigger stage and invites guests to join “America’s Got Talent” Finalist Bryan Cheatham as he and his friends sing and dance the night away while getting ready for his big Christmas Celebration! Experience a soulful celebration of Holiday classics in this original production. Located at Nautilus Amphitheater on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays.
  • Mrs. Claus’ Christmas Parade – See Mrs. Claus and her band of merry elves as they make their way throughout the park on a festive procession with all-new floats and characters for guests to view several times daily.
  • Photos with Santa Claus – Guests can renew holiday traditions by visiting Santa to take a photo and share their Christmas wishes with him. Plus, see live reindeer at Santa’s Village!
  • Holiday Cocktails, Desserts, Hot Chocolate & More – Grown-ups will want to get even more festive with an ice-cold brew, a glass of wine or one of SeaWorld’s specialty holiday cocktails. Or for the whole family, experience SeaWorld’s famous hot chocolate with candy toppings and all-new delicious desserts. 
  • Reindeer Round-Up Scavenger Hunt – Get started on a merry quest with a Reindeer Round-Up Map! Explore the park to find all of Santa’s beloved reindeer and mark each location on your map to collect a special gift. 
  • Holiday Lights & Magic – Explore the magic and wonder of SeaWorld’s beautifully decorated outdoor park grounds and the iconic SkyTower Tree of Lights, San Diego’s biggest Christmas tree. Plus, enjoy a 30 ft. Christmas tree with twinkling lights and Christmas songs programmed to the movement of multiple lighting designs.

There will also be a Hanukkah display to celebrate the Jewish holiday starting 12/1 where guests can enjoy a menorah lighting, holiday décor, and Hanukkah music.
