It’s official! SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™, the innovative, immersive and highly-anticipated themed land, will open at Universal Studios Hollywood in 2023, and will be the first SUPER NINTENDO WORLD to debut in the United States.

SUPER NINTENDO WORLD opened first at Universal Studios Japan to rave consumer and critical reviews in 2021. The U.S. debut of SUPER NINTENDO WORLD at Universal Studios Hollywood will transport theme park guests and Nintendo fans into the world of Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach to become part of their compelling universe.

            SUPER NINTENDO WORLD was conceived in partnership with Nintendo and the visionaries at Universal Creative to deliver exhilarating entertainment with innovative technological achievements inspired by characters and video games that have appealed to generations of Nintendo fans for over 40 years.

The immersive land will be a visual spectacle of vibrant colors and architectural ingenuity located within a newly expanded area of the theme park, featuring a groundbreaking ride and interactive areas, to be enjoyed by the whole family. Themed shopping and dining will enhance the entireexperience.

To mark the occasion as the countdown begins to the land’s exciting debut, Universal Studios Hollywood will unveil a takeover of its popular Feature Presentation retail store with SUPER NINTENDO WORLD theming, opening soon. Located just inside the theme park’s main entrance, guests will have a chance to share their excitement for the land’s 2023 arrival by gearing up with merchandise such as Mario and Luigi themed apparel and iconic character hats. A selection of plush characters, including Yoshi, Mario Bowser and Luigi in a variety of sizes, will also be among the many fun items available for purchase.

SeaWorld San Diego and Mike Hess Brewing Create a New Limited Release   Emperor Hazy IPA to Celebrate California’s Newest, Tallest and Fastest Dive Coaster, Emperor Opening March 12th!

SeaWorld San Diego and Mike Hess Brewing are tapping into something refreshing by creating a custom IPA that celebrates one of the most anticipated coasters of 2022 by USA Today, Emperor, the tallest, fastest, and longest dive coaster in the state, set to open at SeaWorld San Diego to the public on Saturday, March 12.  The all-new limited release beer will be available only at SeaWorld San Diego to the public starting March 2, the same day that Pass Members can start previewing the ride before it opens to the general public. In addition to the great taste, guests can feel good about their beverage selection. Through SeaWorld’s continued partnership with Penguins International to focus on penguin awareness and the conservation needs of this special aquatic bird, a portion of the proceeds from Emperor Hazy IPA will be donated to Penguins International.

“I am excited for the opportunities that partnerships like this can do to enhance the experience for our guests, and what a better time as we launch California’s first floorless dive coaster, said Jim Lake, SeaWorld Park President.  “This partnership allows us to spotlight the ride, the amazing species it is named after and support a cause focused on penguin conservation, education and research efforts. Emperor Hazy IPA is a 7.0% ABV delicious and citrus-forward Hazy India Pale Ale, a relatively new style of IPA in which the vast majority of the hops added to the beer are added at the very end of brewing, leaving all the bitterness out, and causing two desirable effects: first, a massive, citrusy aroma from the beer and, second, an interaction between the hop’s lupulin compounds and the beer’s grains creating a smooth haziness appearance to the beer. Emperor Hazy IPA is crafted with water, barley, wheat, and oats, as well as Citra, Mosaic and Cascade hops. And, like all Mike Hess Brewing’s beers, Emperor Hazy IPA is crafted to reduce gluten, so even guests who are gluten-intolerant may enjoy this ale.

SeaWorld and Mike Hess Brewing have partnered on custom brews for the park since 2015. The first, a fruit-forward IPA was created with the addition of real grapefruit juice to their popular Solis IPA brand. The beer, SeaWorld Solis, was an instant hit with guests and after its limited time at SeaWorld, and due to its popularity, the beer hit bars and grocery stories later that Summer.  Grapefruit Solis was the number one brand for the brewery for over two years.

Midsummer Scream has announced its return to the Long Beach Convention Center July 29-31, 2022. The three-day event will mark the Fifth Anniversary of Midsummer Scream, the world’s largest Halloween and horror convention.

The Hall of Shadows returns with the theme of “Halloween Comes Home”. Guests will step into a darkened realm filled with fog, haunted attractions, and lurking monsters. Over a dozen home and pro haunters including CalHauntS, Fear Farm, Reichland Asylum, Temecula Terror, and Corona Haunt will create stunning mazes and displays for guests to explore. The Decayed Brigade will thrill audiences with incredible displays of sliding prowess and showmanship daily.

Continuing Midsummer Scream’s tradition of world-class presentations, “Original Monster Kids” will be an unprecedented gathering of the Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, Lon Chaney Jr./Sr., and Vincent Price families on stage to share pictures, home movies, and discuss what it has been like growing up the children and grandchildren of the most famous horror and pop-culture icons in the world.

Other thrilling presentations throughout the weekend include the Winchester Mystery House, LA Haunted Hayride, and “Composers of the Apocalypse” which will feature legendary horror genre musicians… and perhaps even a live performance or two!

Brand-new for 2022 is the Museum of Halloween, displaying a variety of vintage collectibles, costumes, and more, alongside original artwork created just for the event, celebrating the culture, community, and even commercialism of the spooky season.

Featuring more than 350 vendors and artists, the Midsummer Scream show floor is a stunning collection of shirts and apparel, artwork, masks, posters, toys, oddities, and decorations for all Halloween and horror lifestylers as well as haunted attraction creators.. Vendors and companies found on the show floor will include The Mystic Museum, Tee No Evil, Vamp and the Fiends, Trick Or Treat Studios, Backstitch Bruja, Discount Cemetery, Nocturnal DesignZ, and Immortal Masks.

Also on the show floor, guests will find notable film celebrities such as James Jude Courtney (Michael Myers in Halloween 2018, Halloween Kills, Halloween Ends), Jeff Daniel Philips and Daniel Roebuck (Rob Zombie’s The Munsters), Eileen Dietz (Pazuzu’s face, The Exorcist), Instagram legend Christine McConnell, and popular YouTubers Dead Meat and Grimm Life Collective.

More fan favorite components of Midsummer Scream will include the Black Cat Lounge kitten adoption space, Paranormal Pixie’s Pumpkin Patch children’s zone, and the Screaming Room Film Festival presented by HorrorBuzz.
