Sesame Place® San Diego, the only theme park on the West Coast based entirely on the award-winning show Sesame Street, will celebrate Easter during Elmo’s Eggstravaganza from March 23 to April 7. This family-friendly event, which is included with park admission, will be offered daily and will include scavenger hunts, special storytimes, photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny, and everyone’s favorite furry friends dressed in their Easter best. The park’s water attractions will open for the Spring and Summer seasons beginning on March 23 for guests to enjoy splashy family fun.

Egg-cellent Entertainment During Elmo’s Eggstravaganza

Sesame Place San Diego will be celebrating Easter with a variety of exciting springtime activities for families to enjoy every day from March 23 to April 7! Offerings include:

• Easter Bunny Photo Opportunities – Guests can meet and take photos with the Easter Bunny during a special photo experience in the park.
• Golden Egg Hunt – One golden egg will be hidden somewhere in the park each day of Elmo’s Eggstravaganza. The first guest who finds and turns it in at Sesame Souvenirs will win an exclusive prize.
• Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt – What would Easter be without an Easter egg hunt? Guests can go on a fun-filled scavenger hunt to find all the Easter eggs hidden around the park. Free activity sheets can be picked up and turned in when completed at Sesame Souvenirs for a special prize.
• Furry Friends Bunny Hop Dance Party and Games – An egg-cellent way to burn off some energy… jump, bounce, and hop along with Sesame Street friends at the Furry Friends Bunny Hop Dance Party. Plus, participate in special games and races!
• Easter Storytime – Children of all ages can gather and enjoy a special storytime at Abby’s Garden featuringThe Great Easter Race. It’s an egg-straordinary spring tale featuring Elmo, Cookie Monster, and more!
• Special Meet & Greets – Every Sesame Place event brings unique photo opportunities for guests! Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, and more will greet guests and take photos in their special Easter attire during the event. 

Splash into Spring & Summer with Waves of Fun

Sesame Place’s exciting water attractions will open for the Spring and Summer seasons on March 23. The park’s water attractions offer something for the whole family – including The Count’s Splash Castle, the park’s newest addition which features 111 play elements across the multilevel play structure. Toddlers and small children will love splashing around in Elmo’s Silly Sand Slides, while older children will enjoy the thrill of Cookie’s Monster Mixer and Oscar’s Rotten Rafts! 

In addition to the open water attractions, guests can enjoy exciting rides including Super Grover’s Box Car Derby and the Sunny Day Carousel, an engaging musical play area, an interactive Sesame Street Neighborhood complete with the iconic 123 Stoop, daily live character shows, an award-winning parade, and more. Dine with Elmo & Friends at the ALL-NEW Sunny Day Café, where guests can join a delicious meal alongside Elmo and their favorite furry friends, will be opening later in 2024 for a dining adventure the whole family will love!

For those looking to stay for a full day of fun at Sesame Place, Kids Go Free is back with free admission for kids ages 3 to 9 when accompanied by an adult with a paid ticket. This offer is available through March 31. Plus, kids under three get to visit for free year-round!
