You’ll have the rare opportunity to meet and discuss spine-chilling creations with the masterminds behind this year’s attractions. Chat with the content experts, designers, and creative directors, and marvel at the artwork and designs that will bring your worst nightmares to life.

50 Years of Never-Ending Nightmares Presentation

Guests will be treated to an enthralling historical presentation and discussion inside the haunted confines of the Bird Cage Theatre. Discover the sinister secrets and spine-tingling tales that have shaped Knott’s Scary Farm’s legacy over the past 50 years.

Monster Mayhem

Be prepared to encounter some of Ghost Town’s most legendary monsters as you venture through the dimly lit streets. And keep an eye out for the newest frightful fiends lurking along the Gold Mine Trail.

Dressed to Die For

Head over to Town Hall where the park’s wardrobe department will showcase a chilling array of past and present costumes. Witness the evolution of terror as you explore the hauntingly beautiful costumes worn by the most iconic characters from Knott’s Scary Farm.

Thrills in Ghost Town

Take a ride on two of Ghost Town’s most exhilarating attractions – GhostRider and Pony Express. Feel the rush of adrenaline as you soar through the darkness and witness the haunting beauty of Ghost Town from a different perspective.

Legacy Store Merchandise Experience

Make your way to the Legacy Store merchandise experience, where you’ll be immersed in the history and haunting splendor of this historic event. You’ll be one of the first to be able to purchase this year’s exclusive anniversary merchandise.

Event Parking

Your event ticket includes parking at the Western Lot. Starting at 5 PM, present your event ticket at the Western Lot parking attendant booth located on Western Ave. Directions are available here.

Event Entry & Bag Policy

Please proceed to the Western Theme Park Entrance, where all Guests will be subject to a Security Screening. Please secure all unnecessary items in your vehicle before entry. This event will follow our Scary Farm bag policy. Clear plastic bags smaller than 12” x 12” x 6” as well as non-clear wristlets or clutches no larger than 5”x 8”x 2” will be allowed. All bags are subject to search before entry.

Following the screening, please present your ticket at the Western Entrance turnstiles. Every guest must present a special event ticket for entry. This event is sold out, and additional tickets will not be available for purchase. Late arrivals will not be accommodated. This special event permits NO RE-ENTRY.

Special Presentation

The night will begin at the Calico Mine Stage at approximately 7 PM. Those unable to attend can view a live broadcast and post-event recording on the Knott’s Berry Farm YouTube channel.

Food & Beverage

Limited food and beverage items will be available for purchase, including highlights from this year’s seasonal menu! Food and beverage offerings and location times vary. Must be 21 and older for alcoholic beverages. Valid ID required.

Legacy Haunt Store and Museum

You will be some of the first Guests to experience the fully immersive Scary Farm Haunt Store & Museum! This treasure trove echoes 50 years of frightful history. Experience the chilling allure first-hand and get your hands on this year’s exclusive anniversary merchandise!

Didn’t get to spend enough time in the Legacy Haunt Store experience? Don’t fret, fiend! The Legacy Haunt Store and Museum will open daily to all Guests beginning Friday, August 25, in the California Marketplace. Plus, Guests with a “Scary Farm 50: Nightmares Revealed” Event ticket, Guests will also receive priority access on Friday, August 25. Present your event ticket at the California Marketplace entrance of the Legacy Haunt Store for assistance. California Marketplace hours are available here.

Toad joins his friends Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach as a new walk-about character within SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™ at Universal Studios Hollywood.

            Toad, a resident of the Mushroom Kingdom who works in service of Princess Peach, will now be on hand to meet and interact with guests visiting from around the world.

Since opening in early 2023, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD has been incredibly well received, resonating with theme park guests and Nintendo fans across every generation. From the moment guests pass through the signature giant green pipe and are transported into the Mushroom Kingdom to become a part of this exhilarating universe, the energy and excitement is transformative, filled with exploration, discovery and play unlike anything they’ve ever experienced.

“Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge”: This all-new, technologically advanced ride, inspired by the popular Mario Kart™ video game series, seamlessly fuses cutting-edge augmented reality (AR) with projection mapping technology and actual set pieces along a moving ride track. Set against a multi-sensory backdrop of color, sound and movement, guests are seated in stadium-style, four-seat vehicles as they navigate familiar courses through the creative use and integration of head mounted AR goggles. This unique feature is a key point of differentiation that distinguishes this ride from other theme park attractions.

The premise of “Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge” is simple but equally inspiring and challenging, appealing to guests of all ages regardless of gaming experience. As part of Team Mario, guests steer through underwater courses and courses in the clouds to compete for the Golden Cup while collecting digital coins to defeat Team Bowser and win. “Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge” raises the stakes for guests as an intriguing and repeatable ride with a variety of outcomes.

Mount Beanpole: This towering landmark sits at the heart of the land and also serves as the entry queue for “Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge.” 

Bowser’s Castle: Adorned with a breathtaking sculpture of a large and powerful Bowser, this structure serves as a key centerpiece of the land, home to SUPER NINTENDO WORLD’s signature ride, “Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge.” As guests navigate the corridors and pass through the hall of medallions and trophies of the ominous castle towards the ride, they learn more about Bowser’s calculated plans to defeat Team Mario for the coveted Golden Cup.

Power-Up Band™: These wearable, state-of-the-art wristbands sync with the official  Universal Studios Hollywood’s free downloadable app to level-up the guest experience within the land and enhance its many interactive elements. These include, but are not limited to, keeping individual and team scores, collecting digital coins and obtaining keys after winning Key Challenges throughout the land. When riding “Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge,” guests are encouraged to tap their Power-Up Band on the ride vehicle’s steering wheel. By doing so, they can track digital coins collected as well as gauge their ranking against friends and family when synced to the official Universal Studios Hollywood app. They are available in six design options with character themes and can be purchased both within the land and at SUPER NINTENDO WORLD retail shops located within the theme park and on Universal CityWalk Hollywood. 

Interactive Gameplay: Within the land, guests can enjoy many interactive areas, including punching ? Blocks to collect digital coins. They will discover a new dimension of SUPER NINTENDO WORLD via the interactive binoculars positioned within the land, employing augmented reality technology. Guests can also collect keys after winning the Key Challenges from Goomba Crazy Crank, Koopa Troopa POWer Punch, Piranha Plant Nap Mishap and Thwomp Panel Panic. Collecting at least three keys will ultimately allow access to the final boss battle with Bowser Jr.’s Shadow Showdown.

Toadstool Cafe:  The land’s signature restaurant Toadstool Cafe serves a delicious menu perfected by Chef Toad where he greets guests upon entry. Menu items prepared fresh daily include Toadstool Cheesy Garlic Knots, Super Mushroom Soup, Piranha Plant Caprese, Mario Bacon Cheeseburger, Luigi Pesto Chicken Burger, ? Block Tiramisu and Princess Peach Cupcake.

2023 SeaWorld Summer Spectacular Concert Series presented by Coca-Cola®

SeaWorld San Diego guests can play like a Rescue Team member, ride to the rescue on an arctic mission and also meet and learn about many rescued animals.

“The Last of Us,” Inspired by the Critically Acclaimed Post-Apocalyptic PlayStation Video Game, Comes to Life!

Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights dares guests to survive “The Last of Us” as Naughty Dog and PlayStation’s award-winning post-pandemic video game comes to life – for the first time – as an all-new haunted house at Universal Orlando Resort, beginning Friday, September 1, and at Universal Studios Hollywood, beginning Thursday, September 7.

Set in a ravaged civilization, where Infected and hardened survivors run rampant, Naughty Dog and PlayStation’s “The Last of Us” video game, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, has captivated audiences since its release. And now, guests can immerse themselves in a real-life experience that puts them directly into the game’s frightening world.

“The Last of Us” haunted houses on both coasts will propel guests into a world of carnage and mayhem as they follow in the footsteps of the game’s protagonists, Joel and Ellie, who endure a brutal journey in a world overtaken by a fungal virus that turns humans into various forms of a new threat known as the Infected. As guests encounter the Infected – Runners, Stalkers and Clickers – along with The Hunters, a band of hostile humans, they will need to navigate the Pittsburgh Quarantine Zone, including iconic locations from the video game such as the creepy and desolate The Hotel Grand and a labyrinth of dark and dank tunnels, in a desperate attempt to escape and survive.

Summer highlights at SeaWorld San Diego include:

  • Play like a Rescue Team Member at the new kid-friendly play area, Rescue Jr. Opening on Saturday, May 27, Children will become the heroes of the park and learn about animal rescue and rehabilitation in the coolest way possible – through hands-on, active, and engaging experiences. Kids can enjoy exciting play elements, a splash pad, water features, climbing structures and amazing rides. Real rescue vehicles, an obstacle course, fun animal facts, and tips on how to help conservation every day add to the fun. Kids will also be able to meet Rescue team members and rescued animals to learn more about conservation and helping animals in need. Guests will have non-stop fun and adventure with interactive play elements, fun water features, thrilling climbing structures, and engaging rides that will take them on a rescue quest. 
  • All-new family-friendly coaster Arctic Rescue, the fastest and longest straddle coaster on the West Coast with three exhilarating launches. Guests are invited to hop on a snowmobile and launch at up to 40 mph on a chilly adventure as they race through the unpredictable arctic climate to help animals in danger. The snowmobile-style seats create a uniquely immersive coaster experience as riders lean into turns and glide up heights as tall as 30 feet. Following a fun experience on the ride, guests can walk through the Wild Arctic exhibit and witness the wonders of the park’s resident beluga whales, walruses, and ringed seals whose wild populations are being threatened by a loss of Arctic sea ice. According to USA Today’s 10 Best list, Arctic Rescue is one of the most anticipated rides of the year.
  • All-new Family-Fun Entertainment filled with fireworks, fire dance performances, live music and more. The new FantaSEA of Dreams Fireworks Spectacular is a thrilling spectacle with festive colors and brilliant pyrotechnics that will light up the sky on select nights. From Memorial Day weekend through June 18, Guests will feel and experience tropical sounds while Polynesian Fire Dancers tell the stories of the islands and turn up the heat as fire dancers take to the stage. The fun continues with the new SeaWorld Good Vibrations Band performing Beach Boys cover songs on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays plus Memorial Day.
  • The new Summer Spectacular will transform SeaWorld into a breathtaking celebration of summer, sea life, and childlike wonder. Spring 2023 just got even more exciting with the announcement of the upcoming opening of SeaWorld San Diego’s all-new kid-friendly play area, Rescue Jr. Opening soon, children will become the heroes of the park and learn about animal rescue and rehabilitation in the coolest way possible – through hands-on, active, and engaging experiences Kids can enjoy exciting play elements, a splash pad, water features, climbing structures and amazing rides. Real rescue vehicles, an obstacle course, puzzles, fun animal facts, and tips on how to help conservation every day add to the fun.   Aspiring conservationists can also see rescued animals up close, hearing their amazing stories of survival and learning more about how to get involved in helping protect marine animals everywhere.  SeaWorld is one of the largest marine animal rescue organizations in the world and has come to the aid of over 40,000 injured and orphaned animals.

Splash, play and learn with interactive activities that take kids on a rescue quest

Guests will have non-stop fun and adventure with interactive play elements, splashingly fun water features, thrilling climbing structures, and engaging rides that will take them on a rescue quest. 

  • At the Rescue Bay Splash Zone is Rescue 1, a large boat docked and ready to bring a world of watery fun with it. Surrounding this impressive ship will be a shallow-water rescue training ground and splash pad area. Rescue trainees can test themselves as they navigate through an aquatic agility course made up of colorful geometric sculptures and “buoy-like” interactives that spray and splash. Playful fountains will be scattered throughout the area to mimic the occasional wake that is created in a busy harbor.
  • Young adventurers can test their mental and physical ability with the Rescue Training Obstacle Course, a new dry play area with three play offerings. The Nautical Net Climb offers a twisting, extensive network of nets that elevate into the sky leading to one of three training towers that are connected to each other with swaying net bridges and suspended tunnels. The Breakwater Bounceis a large, enclosed area with an inflated air bag floor for jumping, tumbling and all matter of exhilarating moves for young rescuers-in-training. At the Tadpole Play, a large open soft play area allows for curious exploration for our littlest guests.
  • Young minds and imaginations will soar at the Rescue Jr. Play Yard, an interactive area with four areas of role playing. Through activities that encourage and build upon communication, movement and discovery, children can go through the process from receiving the rescue call to returning the animals to their natural habitats. The Play Yard will include talk tubes to receive the rescue calls, a mini obstacle course made of smaller crawl and climb elements to simulate the challenges of conducting a rescue, and playground puzzles and mazes matching sea life and their habitats to symbolize the animal returns.  
  • Young guests can play pretend and get prepared to be part of the Rescue Team in the Mini Rescuer Training Zone. This soft play area is full of ocean themed play structures where children can sit and play on a Rescue boat and plane, climb on a sandcastle, ocean rocks and a pier, plus have adventures with dolphins and sea lions.
  • The Rescue Garage allows guests to get up close and personal with former rescue vehicles like a pickup truck and a dinghy boat that were formerly used in real life rescues. Integrated among these exciting artifacts are educational graphics and details about the types of missions these vehicles have been used for. 

Ride to the rescue with three exciting new rides the entire family can enjoy

  • Guests can board Rescue Rafter, a fully equipped Rescue boat and ride the waves just like the dedicated teams at SeaWorld Rescue! These heroes are prepared for any and all seaworthy situations and young visitors will be too after experiencing the gentle swaying and surprising spins that the ocean can bring to their missions.
  • Rescue Riders offers the option to ride a colorful Rescue Jr. jet ski and whirl through the air on to a big rescue mission! The heroes of SeaWorld Rescue use a variety of water vehicles during their rescue missions and guests can experience the jet ski operation in this unique aerial experience.
  • Another family-friendly ride is Tidepool Twist, which offers a twisting, turning journey around a colorful tide pool that will have guests going around and around with the tide. Prior to enjoying the ride, guests can learn more through informational graphics about the differences between types of sea life found in tide pools.

See rescued animal ambassadors and hear their amazing stories

On the Rescue Jr. Stage, guests can meet Animal Conservation Ambassadors and learn about a variety of unique rescued animals during daily presentations. This fun and educational presentation shares the story of conservation ambassadors, animal care, and rescue. Guests will have hands-on experience with many incredible rescued animals, such as marsupials, primates, and reptiles, and learn about their unique stories.

Meet the heroes of the SeaWorld San Diego Rescue Team

The SeaWorld San Diego Rescue Team is on call every day of the year to help pinnipeds, sea turtles, and sea and shore birds in the water and on land and now guests have the opportunity to meet the Rescue Team members in person and hear true rescue stories that happen every day in San Diego. The Rescue Team members will make appearances and share the full cycle of animal rescue from the call on the rescue hotline through the process of getting to a healthy state to the return to their natural habitats. Stories will range from the sea lion who roamed the freeway to Lefty the loggerhead turtle with a partial missing left flipper to so many more! Guests will walk away informed with valuable tips and information on how they can help our oceans and lands and prevent animals from being harmed and needing rescue.

In partnership with state, local & federal agencies, stranding networks, zoos & aquariums, and many others, SeaWorld Rescue teams are on call 24/7 to help ill, injured, or orphaned animals in need of expert care, always with the goal to return healthy animals back to the wild. Rescue Jr. will have educational information throughout the entire play area with details about the challenges that animals in the wild face that often require their rescue and simple steps that the public can take to limit these hazards for animals. Guests will learn the process the SeaWorld Rescue team goes through to perform a rescue and what they can do if they find an animal in need. The concept of rehabilitation will be taught in a kid-friendly way leaning in on familiar subjects in interactive play areas. The act of an animal return will be conveyed with various activities and puzzles that will demonstrate the return of an animal to their natural habitat.

Viva La Música is back at SeaWorld San Diego bringing vibrant music, delicious cuisine, and culture to the park every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from May 5 to May 21. Guests can now enjoy a vegan version of the fan-favorite Butterbeer beverage in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood. Available in cold and frozen, the new non-dairy offering features the same delicious taste as the existing, wildly-popular Butterbeer drink – complete with flavors reminiscent of butterscotch and shortbread and topped with a vegan-friendly version of the iconic Butterbeer froth.    

Universal Orlando guests can purchase vegan, non-dairy Butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks restaurant in Hogsmeade and the Leaky Cauldron restaurant in Diagon Alley, and Universal Studios Hollywood guests can purchase the beverage at the Hog’s Head pub in addition to the Three Broomsticks restaurant. Guests can also savor other vegan menu options during their visit to the spectacularly themed lands, including Irish Stew and Shepherd’s Pasty Pie (located at both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando), and Mushroom Pie Platter (located at Universal Orlando).
