Get your backpacks ready! The new Camp Snoopy officially opens on June 27th with four new attractions and a lot of summer camp fun with Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang. The reimagined Camp Snoopy will allow campers of all ages to become full-fledged Beagle Scouts as they explore new rides, including a new family rollercoaster, a giant swing, off-road rally, plus new character experiences, interactive camp-tivities and the carefree fun and freedom of summer.
New Adventures in Camp Snoopy
As guests enter the world of Camp Snoopy, they become official campers. They’ll join Beagle Scout Master Snoopy and the entire Peanuts Gang for the camp’s annual jamboree, a fun week of camp competitions and activities. New scouts can begin their adventure at any of the four new or reimagined rides debuting at the High Sierra summer camp.
· Snoopy’s Tenderpaw Twister Coaster allows campers to explore the great outdoors on this first family coaster to take riders up a lift hill and then deliver a pint-sized launch, making this the perfect first, big coaster for parents and kids to experience together. The best part – guests get to ride twice so it’s double the fun and double the adventure every time.
· Sally’s Swing Along is an all-new experience where campers can put their friendship badge in action and go on a swing and sing along to help Sally forget her frustration with Linus who has stood her up for a meet cute. The super-sized swing set offers kids and parents the taste of the good life as they sit side-by-side on the giant bench swing gliding 10 feet toward the sky, back and forth.
· Rocky Mountain Trucking Company transforms into Camp Snoopy’s Off-Road Rally, where drivers race through the newly expanded track and terrain in their own Peanuts-themed four-wheel jeep. In this fun and colorful annual camp jamboree competition, campers will encounter funny road signs and obstacles to go over, around, and under while trying to find course checkpoints along the way.
· Campers can board the newly themed Beagle Express and take a scenic journey on a locomotive ride. They’ll cross over a covered bridge and watch as Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang prepare for the jamboree events. Along the way, fellow campers decorate their cabins for a “Best Cabin” contest, prepare for potato sack races, and more.
· Rounding out the experience is the one-stop shop for campers to fill their bellies at Grizzly Creek Lodge. Campers can also take a trip to renovated Snoopy’s Camp Store to shop for all the essentials needed for camp and then some.
· Finally, the former theater area will now transform into Beagle Scout Acres, a large green space, where kids and families can explore, enjoy lunch or a snack on shaded picnic tables or simply lie back and gaze at the drifting clouds above. Plus, campers of all ages can participate in a host of jamboree camp-tivities including special sing-a-longs around the new campfire fire pit. Guests can expect this new experience to open mid-summer.
Ghost Town Alive!
Your favorite town of Calico comes to life once again this summer with the return of the award-winning, interactive Ghost Town Alive! Guests are invited to become the star of this summer’s new action-packed storyline in the streets of Ghost Town. Each guest has the power to unlock secret missions with characters, influence the day’s events, and take on mind-challenging puzzles in this immersive version of the Old West. Ghost Town Alive! will offer new adventures, roles, and characters this summer on select days starting June 14.
Knott’s Summer Nights
A summer favorite continues after the sun goes down, with a nighttime summer party that extends the fun into the evening. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy bands from the local So-Cal music scene that rotate throughout the event on two stages. Knott’s “Summer Nights” transforms Calico Park into a neighborhood party like no other with a hub of live music, relaxing atmosphere, Instagram-able photo opportunities, and family-friendly games.
A summer party is not complete without an abundance of food and drinks, and no theme park does food quite like Knott’s. Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant Celebrates 90 Years!
“The Famous Fried Chicken Led to the Creation of Southern California’s
First “Themed” Amusement Park“
The story of Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant begins in the 1920s when Walter and Cordelia Knott began farming their acres of leased land in the farm community of Buena Park. To make ends meet, Cordelia began serving hot biscuits and homemade preserves to customers of the family’s roadside produce stand. Word spread, and by 1934 it became necessary for Cordelia to expand her menu to include her now famous country-fried chicken.
On opening day on June 13, 1934, Cordelia served eight 65-cent dinners on her own wedding china. By 1940, visitors were standing in line for hours to enjoy Walter’s boysenberries and Cordelia’s chicken. The challenge of entertaining the crowds led Walter to create an authentic Ghost Town on the property and Southern California’s first “themed” amusement park was born. Today, Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant serves an average of 1,000 chickens daily to eager diners.
As this year marks its 90th anniversary, we are celebrating the legacy of this beloved establishment through a wide range of offerings all year long:

The festival, which runs select dates March 8 – April 28, features an extensive lineup of one-of-a-kind boysenberry food and drink creations, entertainment and fun activities for the whole family!

| Guests are in for a double dose of Knott’s hospitality with the return of the highly-anticipated Knott’s Boysenberry Festival and the grand unveiling of the new Knott’s Hotel. The annual festival inspired by the little berry that started it all opens March 8, and just steps away, the Knott’s Hotel debuts its multimillion-dollar transformation, a new distinctive farmhouse-style overnight experience inspired by park founders Walter and Cordelia Knott. Guests will have the opportunity to indulge in more than 75 recipes at this year’s festival, ranging from savory to sweet; each food and drink item has a unique boysenberry twist that can only be found during this season. The boysenberry on top includes a full lineup of shows, live music and a wide selection of local crafters and artisans for guests of all ages to enjoy. | Knott’s PEANUTS Celebration welcomes fans of all ages to join Snoopy and the PEANUTS gang as they stage a park takeover with plenty of excitement and family-friendly fun starting January 27 and running daily through February 25. The park-wide celebration features a new Franklin-focused exhibit, plenty of new PEANUTS-inspired cuisine, a fun lineup of returning shows and photo ops that allow guests to step into the iconic Charles M. Schulz comic strips. Throughout the park, guests will have plenty of chances to play and interact with their favorite PEANUTS characters.At Calico’s Town Hall, guests will enter a new, limited-time exhibit dedicated to Charles Schulz’s iconic character, Franklin, and discover his importance to history and pop culture. He joined the PEANUTS Gang in 1968 when Charlie Brown met Franklin at the beach. Plus, visitors can hang out with Franklin and snap a photo with him that is too cool for school!At the Calico Mine Stage, the PEANUTS characters will perform the musical game show It’s Your Life, Charlie Brown, with the loveable title character getting the surprise of his life. There will be music, fun and surprise guests, including the world’s most famous beagle, Snoopy. The stage will transform at nightfall as the park hosts Snoopy’s Legendary Rooftop Concert. The Peanuts Gang has teamed up with the indie band, The Jelly of the Month Club, for a high-energy spectacle sure to have everyone dancing.The PEANUTS-inspired festivities will continue at the Bird Cage Theatre as the park offers an experience that teaches the young and the young at heart how to draw their favorite PEANUTS characters. Knott’s Merry Farm Celebrates the Holiday Season with Snoopy, Snow and a reimagined Christmas Classic!
Beginning November 17th through January 7th
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Knott’s Merry Farm. During the holiday season, the park transforms into a dazzling winter wonderland featuring a landscape of thousands of twinkling lights and miles of beautiful garland. New for guests this year, Knott’s melodrama company presents a reimagined Charles Dickens classic, A Calico Christmas Carol. The Bird Cage Theatre will also present the heartwarming Knott’s version of O. Henry’s classic tale of love and sacrifice, The Gift of the Magi, 1885.
Christmas in Calico continues as the Snow and Glow experience fills the buildings and paths with thousands of lights dancing to the beat of Christmas music while “snow” gently falls throughout Ghost Town. The Wilderness Dance Hall transforms into Santa’s Christmas Cabin, where the entire family can create fond memories by taking photos with Santa Claus and his friends.
Knott’s own vocal quartet, the Calico Carolers, transports guests back in time to a Victorian Christmas as they perform the season’s songs throughout the streets of Ghost Town. In Calico Park, guests are serenaded by the a cappella group, The Sleigh Bells, with a soulful version of Christmas classics. A down- home dose of Christmas cheer is in store for those who join Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies for a foot- stompin’ show with energetic music and comedy for the whole family. with Home for the Holidays, where joyous merriment takes over the Calico Mine Stage with dancing and fun set to popular holiday tunes.
Over at the Walter Knott Theater, Snoopy and the Peanuts gang take to the ice in Snoopy’s Night Before Christmas. This guest favorite returns with the Knott’s Ice-Skating Ensemble and Snoopy retelling the classic poem “A Visit from St. Nicholas” re-imagined Peanuts style.
It’s not a holiday celebration without festive food. Throughout the park, guests can indulge in traditional holiday classics with a twist, including a Merry Farm favorite, the crispy breaded “Turkey Ball” filled with perfectly seasoned stuffing and sweet cranberry sauce, or the Red Velvet Churro stuffed with peppermint bark cream cheese.
