The historic Bird Cage Theatre will bring to life a classic Charles Dickens’ tale, A Christmas Carol and its brand-new holiday sequel Marley’s Wings that answers the question – has Ebenezer Scrooge really changed?

Families visiting Camp Snoopy can enjoy seasonal entertainment geared for little ones with A PEANUTS Guide to Christmas, performing daily at the Camp Snoopy Theater. The PEANUTS Gang offer their take and unique wisdom on surviving the holidays while singing a mashup of their favorite holiday tunes.

The streets of Calico will play host to the merriest of Christmas traditions starting with the sound of holiday tunes performed by live Christmas Carolers.

Knott’s Spooky Farm Brings Halloween Fun for Little Ones Starting September 28, 2019!

The spooktacular family-friendly, daytime Halloween event, Knott’s Spooky Farm, invites families with little ghouls ages 3-11 to celebrate the delightfully spooky season as the park is transformed with themed décor and wicked fun around every corner. The fall Season of Fun offers Halloween themed activities that celebrate the season including trick-or-treating, the debut of new shows, pumpkin decorating and a guest-favorite the PEANUTS costume contest. Knott’s Spooky Farm takes place weekends, September 28 – October 27 and Halloween Day.

 

Charlie Brown, his best friend Snoopy and the beloved PEANUTS Gang will all be celebrating the spooky holiday with their own Halloween costumes and will be available for special meet & greets and fun photo encounters in Camp Snoopy and Calico Park.   Kids ages 3 -11 can participate in the newly expanded trick-or-treating experience available through Ghost Town’s Main Street and Schoolhouse Road. During trick-or-treating, kids will interact with an array of spooky but friendly shopkeepers as little ones have the opportunity to show-off their festive Halloween costumes. In Ghost Town, Stanley Scarecrow has opened the Livery Stable for guests of all ages to get close and personal with the Creepy Critters of Calico.

 

Whimsical jack-o-lanterns will adorn Calico Park’s surroundings as it transforms into an enchanting Pumpkin Patch location for families to enjoy the atmosphere of the season with photo ops, crafters and strolling magicians. Miniature pumpkins or Halloween cookies will be available for decorating, for a nominal fee.  Linus will also be on hand at the pumpking patch to help little ones pick out the perfect pumpkin. The Spooky Story Time at the Birdcage Theatre is where kids will sit back, relax and become entranced by the semi haunting tales told by charismatic storytellers throughout the Halloween storylines. There might even catch a glimpse of the elusive haunted calliope player.

 

At Camp Snoopy, families can hop aboard the Grand Sierra Railroad to experience a one-of-a-kind adventure with A Trip to Camp Spooky as riders travel with the PEANUTS Gang® and spot 2D and 3D Halloween themed characters and effects along the trail. Then at the Camp Snoopy Theatre little ghouls and gals are encouraged to show off their Halloween costume at the Peanuts Costume Contest, after the contest families will also have the opportunity to participate in the PEANUTS Dance Party. Additionally, families can watch the Peanuts Gang in The Monsters Are Coming, Charlie Brown, where they’ll have guests of all ages singing and dancing along to classic Halloween tunes.

 

The residents of the Timber Mountain Log Ride will celebrate the Halloween Hootenanny which, adds a family friendly seasonal twist to a park favorite.  Mysterious creatures of Timber Mountain that live out in the woods and caverns join the citizens as they honor the season at the Halloween Hootenanny.  The ride’s interior will feature fun surprises as guests venture past the Calico Coffin Creeper band, the town’s green witch and splash down Skull Mountain through a labyrinth of jack-o-lanterns.  The seasonal ride will also feature an original song performed by Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies. It is the perfect family experience for all to enjoy this Halloween season.

On the outskirts of Calico, a new expedition in an uncharted territory awaits eager explorers with the debut of the park’s newest attraction, Calico River Rapids. Opening on Friday, May 17th, the new white water raft ride takes explorers on a search for new land where indigenous wildlife, treacherous roaring rapids, dynamic water effects plus a variety of wild surprises will be encountered along the way. Buena Park, Calif. – Knott’s Berry Farm is starting 2019 with two additional weekends of the Knott’sPEANUTS Celebration, an event uniquely dedicated to celebrating the beloved PEANUTS Gang. Knott’sinvites guests to step into the iconic world of Charles M. Schulz comic strips as the characters take over the entire theme park with special activities for everyone to enjoy. The newly-extended celebration will take place on weekends beginning January 26th through March 10th plus President’s day, February 18th. The limited time event will welcome fans of all ages to join in on the fun by introducing new ways for guests to play and interact with the PEANUTS Gang throughout the park. The celebration includes interactive character experiences, new festive PEANUTS inspired décor, more vibrant comic strip photo opportunities, live shows, festive merchandise, and deliciously themed-treats.

The celebration will have plenty of surprises hidden around every corner. One-of-a-kind photo opportunities will be available throughout the park allowing guests to step inside a PEANUTS comic strip for a unique and shareable memory. The vibrant décor will include full-size comic strip props like CharlieBrown’s kites and his renowned thought bubbles which will adorn the park’s pathways. Camp Snoopy Theater will debut the all-new Space Beagle show featuring Charlie Brown and Lucy, asthe world’s famous beagle becomes the first dog on the moon. It’s out of this world fun for the wholefamily. Also in Camp Snoopy, the Grand Sierra Railroad invites kids to celebrate with the PEANUTS Gang as they head to the Beagle Bonanza in this fun ride overlay.

The PEANUTS inspired festivities will continue at the Bird Cage Theatre as the park offers an experience that gives both the young and the young at heart a lesson on how to draw their favorite PEANUTS characters. The PEANUTS Sketch School will include our resident art teacher who will provide step by step instructions on how to draw the perfect PEANUTS masterpiece.

Franklin and Linus are on a Western escapade as they transform into cowboys in the PEANUTS Cowboy Jamboree at Calico Park. The boys are looking to challenge guests with some of the rootiniest, tootinestgames in Calico. Also in Ghost Town, everyone’s favorite messy pal, Pig Pen will be joining the rest of the PEANUTS Gang as he hosts a special meetup at the Livery Stables with some of his favorite animalfriends. The celebration will also add a brand new overlay to one of the park’s tallest attractions. SkyCabin will be donning a festive overlay as an homage to the smallest member of the PEANUTS Gang, bytransforming into Woodstock’s Bird’s-Eye View. The celebration continues at the Calico Mine Stage where the PEANUTS characters have two musical surprises for guests. Celebrating its 27thyear, “Christmas in Spring” has touched the lives of over 16,000 family members living in poverty in the San Fernando Valley, providing them with holiday cheer during a time of year when their needs are often overlooked.

The park’s annual food-inspired event celebrates Knott’s Berry Farm’s historic roots by highlighting the little berry that started it all, the boysenberry. This year’s festival features over 75 new and returning boysenberry-inspired creations crafted by Knott’s very own culinary team. In addition to tasty treats the Knott’s Boysenberry Festival offers a wide selection of daily entertainment, live music and fun activities for everyone in the family to enjoy. The historic boysenberry is a cross between a loganberry, red raspberry and blackberry and is named after its originator Rudolf Boysen. The Knott family was the first to successfully harvest and sell the boysenberry on the land that is now known as Knott’s Berry Farm.
Some of the tastiest and most unique food items are rolled out exclusively during the Knott’s Boysenberry Festival.

This year’s appetizing lineup includes the first ever boysenberry quesadilla made with a boysenberry-infused flour tortilla, paired with boysenberry salsa, boysenberry sour cream, sprinkled with cotija and mozzarella cheese. Plus, the boysenberry pierogies with onions, bacon and boysenberry sour cream will be bursting with a combination of sweet and savory flavors. Other flavorful items that will be prepared and served to perfection include the slow cooked boysenberry short ribs, the juicy meat is smothered in boysenberry hoisin sauce served over butter basmati rice and complete with chopped green onions will leave guests asking for more. The guest favorite and finger-lickin’ boysenberry chicken wings will also be available during the festival; the irresistible wings are smothered in the delicious and popular boysenberry BBQ sauce which is made exclusively at the Farm. The meaty and boysenberry inspired items also include the very filling boysenberry grilled sausage on a fresh roll prepared with a fresh farm-baked roll, topped with boysenberry ketchup, relish and mustard. Sweets and desserts are a key part of the festival and this year the culinary team is introducing the scrumptious, perfectly bite-sized boysenberry coconut macaroons, dipped in a decadent chocolate ganache, which are great to enjoy while strolling through the park. A great option to indulge in a variety of new and returning food items during the festival is by purchasing a tasting card priced at $30 which offers 8 of the new food options per card; guests can select any 8 items of their choice. Guest can also take home a taste of the boysenberry festival with limited edition merchandise that can be found throughout the park, such as a new boysenberry bath and body line including soaps, salt soaks, bath bombs, lip balms (introducing three new flavors) and candles. New to the festival this year is Knott’s sugar-free boysenberry concentrate, a low calorie, no sugar version of Knott’s popular drink, a wide selection of boysenberry chocolates including boysenberry versions of milk chocolate bars, truffles, caramel squares, peanut butter and jelly cups. New and exclusive to Knott’s Berry Farm this year is the all-new boysenberry Jelly Belly. The Knott’s Berry Market also features signature boysenberry items like the delicious boysenberry BBQ sauce or the classic jams and preserves. Unique boysenberry inspired products with a homemade twist will also be available as the Craft Fair returns offering a variety of products like boysenberry cashew nut brittle, boysenberry pie shaped homemade accessories and more.

Entertainment:
Knott’s Boysenberry Festival offers endless entertainment options for the festival goers who have a hankerin’ for some good ol’ country fun:
· Tied up in Knott’s! – “Tied Up in Knott’s!” is a tribute art show to the rich history of Knott’s Berry Farm, its beginnings as a farm and its standing as a Southern California institution for millions of visitors during its (almost) 100-year history. More than a dozen artists will be contributing pieces to the show, which pays homage to Knott’s Berry Farm’s past, present and future in various mediums including: oil paintings, illustrations and digital mixed media. These original pieces will be hung on display at the Wilderness Dance Hall during the duration of the Boysenberry Festival and Guests will have the opportunity to purchase many of the pieces, as well as prints of some of the art.
· Snoopy’s Boysenberry Jamboree! – Guests are invited to join Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the entire Peanuts Gang in a show that will have families dancing and playing along at the Calico Mine Stage.
· Old Time Melodrama – Knott’s pays tribute to its past at the Legendary Bird Cage Theatre with a special presentation of the musical comedy melodrama with a surprising boysenberry twist!
· Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies – A group of krazy talented performers will have guests toe tappin’, vine dancin’ and knee-slappin’ to a comedic country music show at the Wagon Camp stage.
· Ghost Town Miners – The joy of scrumptious food and country music encompass guests as the Ghost Town Miners take the stage in a fun musical performance.
· Easter Beagle – Spring has sprung all around the park including in Camp Snoopy where guests can meet everyone’s favorite beagle as he celebrates the season.
· Ghost Town’s Town Hall- In honor of the famous berry that started it all, guests are invited to learn the history of the boysenberry and how Walter and Cordelia Knott started the Farm.
· Old MacDonald Petting Zoo – Young ones and young at heart are invited to cozy up to the cutest critters on the farm including horses, sheep, goats and other furry friends.

The Boysenberry Festival is included with admission to Knott’s Berry Farm. Additional costs apply for food tasting experiences within the event. Knott’s will have extended hours on select days March 16 – April 8, allowing guests extra time to take advantage of all of the limited-time offerings.

Knott’s Spooky Farm Celebrates the Fall Season at Knott’s with a Family-Friendly Halloween Festival

The annual daytime, family-friendly Halloween celebration, Knott’s Spooky Farm, takes place weekends, September 30 – October 29 and Halloween Day. The kid-inspired “spooky” celebration will feature activities for ages 3-11, including trick-or-treating, a live show and costume contest with the Peanuts gang, and a Dia De Los Muertos Celebration. The fall daytime Seasons of Fun event is included with regular park admission.

Kids ages 3 -11 can participate in Trick-or-Treating throughout Ghost Town, and interact with an array of spooky but friendly Shopkeepers. New this year, Stanley Scarecrow has opened the Livery Stable for guests of all ages to get close and personal with the Creepy Critters of Calico.

The Grand Sierra Railroad in Camp Snoopy transforms to a one-of-a-kind experience which takes riders on an adventure, along with the Peanuts Gang, to Camp Spooky with added special Halloween theming effects. Then come to Camp Snoopy Theatre to show off your best Halloween costume at the Peanuts Costume Contest and afterwards, join Peanuts characters in a Peanuts Dance Party!. Additionally, families can watch the Peanuts Gang in The Monsters Are Coming, Charlie Brown, where they’ll have guests of all ages singing and dancing along to classic Halloween tunes.

This Halloween season, the Timber Mountain Log Ride mystically converts into the Halloween Hootenanny by adding a new family friendly twist to a park favorite. Every year the citizens of the Timber Mountain invite the mysterious creatures that live out in the woods and caverns of the area to join them as they celebrate the season at the Halloween Hootenanny. The ride’s interior will feature new fun surprises as guests venture past the Calico Coffin Creeper band, the town’s green witch and splash down Skull Mountain through a labyrinth of jack-o-lanterns. The seasonal ride will also feature an original song performed by Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies. Open for day and night guests, this is the perfect family experience for all to enjoy this Halloween season.

In Fiesta Village, join the Dia de Los Muertos Celebration in the Fiesta Stage area for an interactive, non-scary, educational celebration of the season. The themed area offers a walk through village filled with photo ops, educational activities and face paintings at a nominal fee. Then visit the Ghastly Gallery in the Boardwalk Ballroom for a slate of entertaining activities including a live show and opportunities for your little ghouls to participate in drawing their best “monsterpiece.”

Knott’s Continues Its Annual Promotion With a Memorable Campaign, Special “Pink Tickets” and Exclusive Merchandise in Support of Breast Cancer Survivors, Survivor Families

Knott’s Berry Farm and Susan G. Komen Orange County are partnering for a fourth consecutive year to raise money for breast cancer awareness, services and research by offering a special “Pink Ticket” and limited edition “pink” event t-shirts from January 9 through March 5, 2017.

The park will turn pink in support of the promotion with specially-themed décor, pink lighting at special attractions and themed merchandise exclusively available at the park.

New this year, Knott’s Berry Farm is hosting a special experience to honor and celebrate survivors and their families who have been affected by breast cancer, with a special event called #ScreamAgainstBreastCancer in January. Knott’s will invite a group of survivors and their family members to ride Knott’s tallest thrill ride, Supreme Scream, for a one-of-a-kind moment-in-time that will launch guests over 252 feet in the air. While suspended at the highest point, survivors and their families will scream against all of the challenges and pain but most importantly to celebrate their victories and the great triumph of overcoming breast cancer. The memorable moment will be documented through GoPro© cameras mounted to the ride, capturing the powerful and dotting moment of emotion from those who have been directly affected by the disease. Supreme Scream will be lit pink starting Valentine’s Day in support of the partnership and will continue to shine across the Buena Park skyline each night for the duration of the promotion.

The promotion will provide guests with the opportunity to enjoy Knott’s world-class entertainment, attractions and special themed “pink” décor, while supporting a great cause. Special rides like Supreme Scream, Calico Mine Ride and other landmarks inside of the theme park will glow pink in honor of the promotion, and limited edition, custom designed “pink” t-shirts will be available for purchase.

“Knott’s Berry Farm has successfully raised over $360,000 during the previous promotions in partnership with Susan G. Komen Orange County. I am immensely proud of what both organizations have achieved as a team. In previous years, the theme park also provided complimentary life-saving breast exams and mammograms to underserved and underinsured women via the Knott’s sponsored Alinea mobile mammography van, which will return this year to continue providing health screenings for women in the community.
