Return of the Popular Dining and Membership Programs Offer Thrills for All Ages

Six Flags Magic Mountain, the undisputed “Thrill Capital of the World,” today announced a new thrilling lineup of special events for Fall 2022 and the 2023 season, plus the return of the guest favorite dining pass and membership programs. In addition to the park’s world-record 20 coasters, plus over 100 games and attractions for thrill-seekers of all ages, returning guest favorite events and new offerings create endless opportunities for fun all year long.

Fall 2022 events and offers include:

  • NEW – Coca-Cola® Dreamworld Experience (Weekends through September 5) – Six Flags and Coca-Cola present the launch of a new multi-platform Dreamworld Arcade to help inspire park guests to discover the magic of dreaming through a whimsical digital experience. The experience, as well as Coca-Cola’s limited-edition Dreamworld beverage, will be available at the park during this event;
  • NEW – Tailgate Weekends (Weekends through February 12) – Catch your favorite college and professional football games at the Full Throttle Sports Bar and METRO PARK™ Pub. Indulge in game-day food and drink specials, and more;
  • Fright Fest presented by SNICKERS® (Select nights September 10 – October 31) – One of Los Angeles’ scariest Halloween events returns with a new bone-chilling lineup of 14 terrifying attractions including a new haunted maze, two new dare-to-enter scare zones, an eerie new show, and all-new haunted happy hour experience. Plus, face your fears in total darkness on some of the park’s most popular monster coasters…without the lights;
  • NEW – Kid’s Boo Fest (Select days September 10 – October 31) – A frightfully fun daytime Trick-or-Treat trail, located in Bugs Bunny World, provides families with a not-so-scary Halloween experience;
  • NEW – Oktoberfest (Select days September 10 – October 31) – Join in the festivities with this Fall’s selection of craft and seasonal beers, delicious German fare, themed music and activities;
  • NEW – Veterans Day Celebration (November 11 – November 13) – Join us as we honor and celebrate veterans who have served and made sacrifices for our country through ceremonies and military presentations;
  • Holiday in the Park (Select evenings November 24 – January 1) – Six Flags Magic Mountain transforms into a magical winter wonderland featuring over two million twinkling lights, holiday-themed areas throughout the park, meet and greets with Santa, and festive food and treats; and
  • NEW – Merry Marketplace (Select evenings November 24 – January 1) – Find the perfect gift for the holiday season. Encounter festive foods, handcrafted wares, and more while surrounded by fanciful décor.

12-Month Pass to Include Summer Events and More!

Six Flags Magic Mountain, the undisputed “Thrill Capital of the World,” today announced an exciting lineup of events and the introduction of the new Six Flags Annual Pass program. During a season that already includes the largest array of guest experience improvements in the park’s 50-year history, the summer kicks off with an exciting event lineup, a new pass that provides more flexibility and value than ever before, and coming soon, the addition of the park’s record 20th coaster.

Events include:

  • Coca-Cola July 4th Fest (July 2 – July 4) – One of Southern California’s most spectacular fireworks shows runs nightly July 2 through July 4 at 9:15pm. Guests can celebrate the red, white and blue with an ice-cold Coca-Cola, live music, limited-time culinary offerings, and the most thrilling collection of world-class coasters. This event is included with theme park admission. 
  • WONDER WOMAN™ Flight of Courage – The park’s record 20th coaster—the most at any theme park on the planet—makes its debut this summer as the tallest, longest single-rail coaster in the world. Riders will take flight single file, on an incredible journey up a towering 13-story first drop, reaching speeds up to 58 miles-per-hour while soaring through a series of dives, banks, rolls, and turns over 3,300 feet of track.
  • Fright Fest (Select Nights September 10 – October 30) – One of Los Angeles’ most thrilling Halloween events, Fright Fest, returns with Thrills by Day and Fright by Night featuring a bone-chilling lineup of haunted attractions. Plus, face your fears in total darkness on the park’s most popular monster coasters…without the lights.
  • Holiday in the Park (Select Evenings November 24 – January 1) – Six Flags Magic Mountain transforms into a magical winter wonderland featuring millions of twinkling lights, beautifully themed areas throughout the park, festive shows and delicious holiday food and treats. 

Six Flags has also made technological improvements throughout the park for more streamlined operations in rides and culinary locations. It includes the addition of several digital ride wait time monitors and mobile food ordering through the Six Flags App. Plus, park beautification enhancements consist of more shaded guest seating areas and an array of drought-tolerant plants.

Six Flags Announces New Annual Pass Program

Six Flags unveils a new pass program featuring different levels of benefits tailored to suit each guest’s preferences. This flexible new program offers the option for 12 easy monthly payments:  

  • Annual Thrill Seeker Pass;
    • $140.00 or 12 payments starting at $11.67;
    • Includes admission to Six Flags Magic Mountain & Hurricane Harbor Los Angeles and Phoenix (blockout dates apply), plus general parking and special savings on food and merchandise;
  • Annual Extreme Pass; 
    • $195.00 or 12 payments starting at $16.25;
    • Includes admission to all Six Flags Outdoor Parks plus preferred parking, two Junior Passes (valid for guests 42” and under) and special savings on food and merchandise; and
  • Annual Ultimate Pass;
    • $350.00 or 12 payments starting at $29.17;
    • Includes access to all Six Flags Outdoor Parks plus front gate parking, two Junior Passes (valid for guests 42” and under), a ten-meal dining plan, and special savings on food and merchandise.

Six Flags Magic Mountain Resurrects Its Fright Fest® Line-up with More Frights Than Ever!

Six Flags Magic Mountain’s 28th season ofFright Fest is back with 24 terrifying nights of monsters, ghouls, and crazed characters ready to strike fear in any one who crosses their path. The bone-chilling lineup of haunted attractions features two new spine-tingling scare zones, a dark and twisted photo experience, two new mind-numbing shows, and added days. Six Flags Magic Mountain leaves no tombstoneunturned to deliver what guests want most…an all-out terrifying experience.

Fright Fest, presented by Snickers®, boasts a grand total of 14 electrifying mazes and dare-to- enter scare zones with nightmarish zombies lurking around every corner. To take fright to a new extreme, Six Flags Magic Mountain is also adding a sinister element to some of the park’smonster coasters by turning off the lights, leaving riders to face their fears in total darkness.

“Fright Fest is one of the top-rated theme park Halloween events in the country and we couldn’tbe more excited to bring this legacy event back to the park. To enhance the fright factor this year, we are introducing two new scare zones with unexpected, dark surprises around everycorner and two new shows guaranteed to make your blood run cold”, said Park President DonMcCoy. “And, to give Southern California’s thrill-seekers more opportunity to ‘find their fright,’ we’ve expanded our calendar to include 24 terror-filled Fright Fest nights with an incredible line up of hair-raising entertainment,” added McCoy.

Highlights of this year’s new Fright Fest lineup include:

  • The Deadzone, located in the newest area of the park, The Underground, unleashes anew renegade group of cyberpunk zombies that feed on unsuspected visitors.

  • Terror Rising – Dark Developments, where everyone’s worst nightmares rise up fromthe depths of hell and prey on the innocent who dare to enter this haunted cemetery.Beware of the dark developments that could haunt you for all eternity

  • Grave Games is a dangerous and daring show featuring acts of crossbows and firejuggling

  • Dark Minds is a mentalist show exploring the deep, disturbing thoughts lurking withinthe darkest depths of the mind;

Popular returning mazes that incorporate state-of-the-art makeup, props, and special effects, include:

  • Willoughby’s Resurrected where the haunts of Ghostober take on dark visions of spirits, haunted artifacts, and supernatural investigations gone wrong. Brought to Fright Fest by Discovery+, the streaming home of Halloween;
  • Condemned – Forever Damned is full of horrific haunts of a dilapidated home where the walls are alive and the spirits of those who once lived there unleash their fury on anyone who dares enter;
  • Vault 666 Unlocked returns as the fan-favorite maze, Vault 666, only this time demonic relics are locked in a dark and sinister antique shop, casting spells and haunting those who try and steal them;
  • Sewer of Souls takes guests into an underground world of lost souls and terrifying tunnels where evil oozes;
  • Aftermath2:ChaosRisingistheregion’slargestoutdoormaze,coveringmorethan 40,000 square feet where the spirits of the dead and the near-dead inhabit a post- apocalyptic city with larger-than-life props, fire, fog, and other special effects; and
  • Red’s Revenge, over the river and through the woods to Grandmother’s house they go, but in this “scarytale” the roles are reversed as guests and the wolf are hunted by Red and her demonic minions.Along with The Deadzone and Terror Rising – Dark Developments, six additional scare zones around the park leave guests nowhere to hide and screaming to get out unscathed. They include:
  • Beware of the dark corners in City Under Siege, where the clowns are loose and running rampant through the streets;
  • Witches Lair returns to this year’s horror-filled offering of haunts as the City ofMETROPOLISTM is transformed into a haven for wicked spells and black magic;
  • Guests who enter the park through Demon’s Door should be prepared for their mind and body to be completely taken over by the evil spirits that await;
  • Steam-spewing mechanical beasts relentlessly hunt down their victims in TERRORtory Twisted;
  • Nightmares – A Twisted Fantasy, where childhood favorite bedtime stories take on a perverse twist; and
  • Freak out on Exile Hill when unimaginable sinister souls appear without warning.Spooktacular shows include the new Grave Games located in the Golden Bear Plaza and Dark Minds in the Gearworks Theater, the ghoulish Sliders of the Night show in DC UNIVERSETM,plus the very popular VooDoo Nights, where ghoul rock goes pop with today’s hits. Guests will want to dust off those thriller moves and join in the fun in the Full Throttle Plaza.Guests can literally face their fears in the shadows when the lights go out on some of the park’siconic coasters during Fright Fest, including Twisted Colossus, Viper, X2, Scream, Goliath, Apocalypse, and more.For the little monsters, a Trick-or-Treat Trail and Halloween crafts round out the frightfully fun family activities during the day.
