Universal Studios Hollywood Introduces Universal Mega Movie Summer!

Featuring Exciting New Entertainment, Dining and Merchandise, to Deliver the Best Summer Day in L.A.

This summer, Universal Studios Hollywood will become movie buff central when iconic movies leap from the silver screen to the theme park as part of Universal Mega Movie Summer, an all-new seasonal event designed to offer guests the best summer day in L.A.  Debuting Friday, June 13 and continuing daily through Sunday, August 10, 2025, Universal Mega Movie Summer will create experiences for guests that redefine how they can “beat the heat,” “hang with friends” and “party in the park.”

With the addition of ingenious menu items, curated by Universal Studios Hollywood Executive Chef Julia Thrash and complemented by all-new collections of exclusive merchandise, including apparel and toys, Universal Mega Movie Summer will delight guests and fans with an array of exclusive in-world, themed offerings. 

Highlights follow:

  • Jurassic World—The Ride Featuring Mosasaurus Splash, inspired by Universal Pictures’ highly-anticipated movie Jurassic World Rebirth opening in theaters on July 2, roars to life within the theme park’s popular dinosaur-laden thrill ride. The iconic 84-foot water drop at the ride’s finale will reverberate with the menacing roar of a Mosasaurus. Four new Spitter dinosaurs will join the melee and water geysers will erupt to shower guests. 

An all-new adorable dinosaur from Jurassic World Rebirth will join Blue the Velociraptor, Juliet the Triceratops and Baby Tango. These highly realistic, lifelike dinosaurs will engage with guests alongside the debut of an all-new adventure character, also inspired by Jurassic World Rebirth. A larger-than-life photo op of a Spinosaurus dinosaur will welcome guests to step into a thrilling scene from the film for a memorable photo for instant social postings, and an inspiring scavenger hunt game featuring Compy will entertain visitors while keeping them on their toes.

Jurassic Cafe will serve up a sampling of new prehistoric delicacies, plus Isla Nubar will feature new cocktails, The Jurassic Water Rebirth and Spicy Jurassic Pearadise. 

  • To mark the 50th Golden Anniversary of Jaws the movie, Universal Studios Hollywood is reintroducing its iconic hanging shark, a larger-than-life dimensional sculpture photo op, and paying homage to this Academy Award-winning blockbuster with the debut of meet and greet characters, Captain Quint and Chief Brody. On the Studio Tour, Jaws will be featured on the iconic Hollywood Sign replica, situated along the backlot hillside, and the infamous Jaws Lake attraction as it celebrates July 4th all summer long. 

Hollywood & Dine, located just inside the theme park’s main entry, will transform into Amity Island Cafe, serving up a menu fit for a great white. Menu and beverage highlights will include Lobster Roll, Vegan Crab Cake Sandwich, Fish and Chips, Fish and Chicken Basket, Shark Bait Burger, Shark Fin Funnel Cake, Amity Island Parfait and Amity Beach Lifesaver Donut, as well as The Shark Bite cocktail and Amity Open Water, a non-alcoholic beverage.

  • To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the landmark film Back to the Future, the iconic Time Machine from the film will be staged on the theme park’s Upper Lot, adjacent to Mel’s Diner. Characters Doc Brown, Marty McFly and Einstein the dog will all be on hand and paw to greet guests and pose for timeless photo ops. 

With its decades-old throwback sensibilities, Mel’s Diner idyllically captures the essence of Back to the Future, serving up such menu options as the Flux Capacitor Patty Melt, Time Machine Pastrami Melt, Doc Brown’s Chicken Pot Pie, Outatime Cookie, Time Traveler’s Milk Shake, Flux Capacitor Mocktail and Wake Up Juice Cocktail.

  • Guests and fans of Universal Pictures’ blockbuster Wicked will have a chance to rejoicify with popular characters, Elphaba and Glinda, when they step out in style to greet guests at the theme park’s existing vibrant Wicked themed photo op, located adjacent to the main entrance. 
  • A sculpted dimensional photo op of Toothless from Universal Pictures and DreamWorks’ live action movie How to Train Your Dragon opening in theatres on June 13, will take center stage within Universal Plaza. This lifelike, 730-pound, larger-than-life sculpted dimensional dragon will tower at nearly 6’ in height, measuring 24’ in length and 8’ in width. Surprised guests posing next to Toothless will no doubt be able to imagine themselves soaring with their favorite dragon within the Isle of Berk.

  • As construction continues on Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift, Universal Studios Hollywood’s first-ever, high-speed outdoor roller coaster opening in 2026, the theme park will offer guests an exciting sneak peek at one of the ride vehicles for this all-new adventure. The Dodge Charger ride vehicle, designed to look like Dominic Toretto’s 1970 Dodge Charger, will park within Universal Plaza for guests to enjoy as the theme park races towards the roller coaster’s grand opening next year. 

Universal CityWalk Hollywood is also toasting Universal Mega Movie Summer with a variety of entertainment and limited-time offerings. These include:

  • Voodoo Doughnut, featuring the cleverly named Doughnut Go In the Water inspired by Jaws, plus Little Stepper and Big Stepper treats inspired by Jurassic World Rebirth
  • The Universal Studio Store and Cartooniversal will sell a variety of themed merchandise aligned with Universal Mega Movie Summer’s engaging entertainment.

Under the astute epicurean eye of Executive Chef Julia Thrash, an innovative menu comes to life as part of Universal Fan Fest Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, serving up highly themed food and beverage items designed to complement this breakthrough event when it kicks off on Friday, April 25 and continues select nights through May 18, 2025.

Tickets are now on sale for the inaugural event which takes place on the following dates: April 25-27; May 2-4, 9-11 and 15-18, 2025.

Universal Fan Fest Nights ticketholders can look forward to dining their way through the event’s captivating interactive and immersive experiences as they Really Go There, inspired by such marquee worlds as Star Trek, Back to the Future, DUNGEONS & DRAGONS, ONE PIECE, Jujutsu Kaisen and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ and SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™.

The inspiration in creating the food and beverage items began with a deep dive into the storylines and characters from the in-world experiences to ensure authenticity with every bite and sip. 

This year’s event also will debut the Universal Fan Fest Nights Dining Pass, inviting guests to sample a variety of food and beverage items throughout the event for a single price. The Dining Pass will be available for purchase at two kiosks located within the theme park as well as at participating theme park restaurants. Each Dining Pass includes a total of six items, consisting of two eligible entrée items and four eligible side, snack, dessert or beverage items. All eligible menu items will be designate by a Universal Fan Fest Nights Dining Pass logo on the restaurant menu boards. The Dining Pass is redeemable at participating food and beverage locations only. Additional restrictions apply.

Launching exclusively at Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Fan Fest Nights will feature all-new, uniquely curated experiences inspired by sci-fi, fantasy, gaming and anime. Guests will really go there as they tap into their inner fandom and join forces with their favorite characters while sharing their enthusiasm with like-minded fans. They will also have a chance to engage in cosplay (subject to Cosplay Costume Guidelines) while experiencing such renowned favorites as Star Trek, Back to the Future, DUNGEONS & DRAGONS, ONE PIECE and Jujutsu Kaisen, as well as special interactions with Wicked characters, Elphaba and Glinda. This year’s Knott’s Boysenberry Festival is a little sweeter! Southern California’s first theme park is marking its 10th anniversary of the beloved festival that celebrates the famous berry with more than 80 savory and sweet boysenberry menu items, a new line-up of shows, live music, 10thanniversary merchandise, and a wide selection of local crafters and artisans. Knott’s Boysenberry Festival operates daily from March 28 through April 27.

Cheers to 10 Years with Boysenberry Beer

There’s no better way to celebrate 10 years of the Knott’s Boysenberry Festival than experiencing more than 80 signature boysenberry menu offerings. New savory items include “The Stack” boysenberry BBQ pulled pork over boysenberry corn bread and coleslaw, French toast stuffed with boysenberry cream cheese, and Thai crunch peanut salad with boysenberry peanut dressing. New sweet treats include boysenberry cheesecake crisp pie, a vegan white chocolate and boysenberry tart, and a boysenberry ice cream sandwich. Returning favorites include boysenberry elote, boysenberry honey garlic chicken wings, and boysenberry sausage on a hoagie. Guests can wash it down with one of the many boysenberry drinks such as a boysenberry sangriaboysenberry and lavender lemonade, boysenberry tequila smash and so much moreA great way to enjoy it all is by purchasing a tasting cardpriced at $55. New Boysenberry Entertainment 

No boysenberry festival is complete without a boysenberry pie eating contest, and this year has a twist. The NEW Boysen Bear’s Pie Kitchen Games in Calico Park invites guests to help thwart those sneaky coyote pups, Moxie and Brawny, from stealing all the pies! Once they save the day, they can celebrate on the Calico Mine Stage at the Boysen Bear’s Pie Eating Contest. The adventures continue at the Birdcage Theatre with The Great Bank Robbery, an all-new show that will have the audience cheering the hero and booing the villain.

Knott’s Preserved is back as guests are taken on a musical journey from the little ghost town of Calico to the Seaside Boardwalk of the Roaring ’20s to commemorate the park’s heritage. Also returning is Old MacDonald’s Barn, a tribute to one of the farm’s original attractions. Guests of all ages can enjoy the cutest critters on the farm, including horses, goats, and other furry friends. At theHistory of the Boysenberry Museum at Town Hall, guests can learn all about the little berry that had a big impact on the Knott family and Southern California. In the streets of Ghost Town, the yearly Boysenberry Festival Crafts Fair will be back in full swing with unique boysenberry-inspired artisan products from over two dozen local craft vendors. SeaWorld San Diego Announces March 15 as Opening Date for All-New Jewels of the Sea: The Jellyfish Experience

SeaWorld San Diego is thrilled to announce that its highly anticipated Jewels of the Sea: A Jellyfish Experiencewill officially open on March 15, with Pass Members receiving a preview before the official opening. This exciting new attraction is the first of its kind at any SeaWorld park, offering guests a unique blend of unusual aquaria, diverse jelly species, and immersive media to create a truly one-of-a-kind experience never before encountered. This incredible experience provides the opportunity for in-depth exploration of the unknown world of jellyfish, creatures that have existed since before the age of dinosaurs. Featuring exceptional educational components mixed with immersive fun, these jellyfish habitats allow visitors to learn, touch and encounter these fascinating animals like never before.

This gorgeous journey of discovery takes guests through three unique galleries with several species of jellyfish, including moon, pacific sea nettles and upside-down jellyfish, along with countless share worthy moments for children and adults alike. Highlights include one of the largest jelly cylinders in the country, a walk-through living archway filled with jellyfish and a mesmerizing and fully immersive LED room that brings the wonders of the ocean to life through eight digital chapters of ocean exploration. Each gallery invites visitors to explore the graceful elegance and mystery of these ethereal creatures, offering a unique perspective on their fascinating biology and ocean habitats.

Jewels of the Sea Galleries

Realm of Jellies – A Story of Water and Light -Step into the enchanting Realm of Jellies, where water and light reveal the delicate beauty of jellyfish. Interactive habitats allow guests to get up close, from observing upside-down jellyfish to touching a cascading water globe filled with moon jellies. Discover the fascinating jellyfish life cycle and anatomy and peek behind the scenes at the propagation process. 

The Jellyfish Passage – The Jellyfish Passage invites guests to step through a 10-foot-tall living archway of moon jellies, creating an ethereal, glowing atmosphere. Learn fascinating facts about jellyfish through interactive displays and witness one of the tallest jellyfish aquariums in the nation, reaching 14-feet-tall. With habitats featuring a variety of jellies, the space offers a serene, immersive experience, like walking through an otherworldly ocean.

Medusa Gallery – The Medusa Gallery offers a breathtaking finale to the jellyfish journey. Vibrant LED visuals uniquely transform the space in a 360-degree experience, unmatched by any other jellyfish encounter in the country, immersing guests in ocean depths, bioluminescence and a captivating jellyfish kaleidoscope. View species like comb jellies and sea nettles while panoramic windows offer a stunning view of the various life stages of moon jellies. This final space celebrates the beauty and mystery of ocean life.

The Jewels of the Sea exhibit is not only a beautiful showcase of marine life but also a testament to SeaWorld’s commitment to conservation. SeaWorld San Diego Announces Full Summer Spectacular Concert Series Line-up, Including Soulja Boy, Bow Wow and Fat Joe

SeaWorld San Diego has officially announced its 2025 Summer Spectacular Concert lineup, featuring a star-studded roster of legendary R&B, hip-hop and rap talent from the 90s and early 2000s. The Summer Concert Series, taking place every Saturday night* from June 21 to August 23, will feature performances by iconic artists such as Soulja Boy, Bow Wow, Baby Bash, Waka Flocka Flame, and Ying Yang Twins, bringing the best hits of the era to life. This year, the highly anticipated I Love the 90’s Tour and The Turnt Up Tour join the concert series lineup, bringing multiple performers to the stage from a variety of the most influential names in rap, hip-hop and R&B.

Annual Knott’s PEANUTS Celebration Set to Celebrate 75 Years of Snoopy and the PEANUTS GANG!

Guests Will Enjoy a Brand-New Show and a Limited-Time Charles Schulz Exhibiton Weekends February 8th through March 9th!

Knott’s PEANUTSTM Celebration has one more reason to celebrate this year! The beloved PEANUTS comic strip turns 75 in 2025. In honor of this significant anniversary, guests will enjoy the debut of the brand-new musical show, Let’s Celebrate, and the limited-time exhibit, “The Life and Art of Charles M. Schulz.” And as they do every year, Snoopy and the PEANUTS Gang will stage a park takeover with plenty of excitement and family-friendly fun running weekends from February 8 through March 9. Guests will also experience a fun lineup of returning shows and photo ops inspired by the iconic PEANUTS comic strip. Throughout the park, guests will have several chances to play and interact with their favorite PEANUTS characters.

At Calico’s Town Hall, guests will enter a new, limited-time exhibit dedicated to “The Life and Art of Charles M. Schulz.” This exhibit explores Schulz’s personal history and his role as the sole inspiration and artistic talent behind PEANUTS and its unique cast of characters. Follow along with Schulz’s story, from his Minnesota roots to his life in California and the development of the characters that make up the unique world of PEANUTS.

Also new this year, Knott’s Berry Farm presents, Let’s Celebrate, a heartwarming musical tribute on the Calico Mine Stage in honor of PEANUTS’ 75th Anniversary. Snoopy, Charlie Brown and all their friends, as well as a host of singers and dancers, remind us why Peanuts is still beloved after 75 years! The Calico Mine Stage will transform at nightfall as the park hosts Snoopy’s Legendary Rooftop Concert where the Peanuts gang and the indie band, The Jelly of the Month Club, perform a high-energy spectacle sure to have everyone dancing.

The PEANUTS-inspired festivities will continue at the Bird Cage Theatre, where the park offers an experience that teaches the young and the young at heart how to draw their favorite PEANUTS characters. The PEANUTS Sketch School will include our resident art teacher, who will provide step-by- step instructions on creating the perfect PEANUTS masterpiece.

A western escapade occurs with Franklin and Linus at Calico Park as they transform into cowboys in
the PEANUTS Cowboy Jamboree. The boys want to challenge guests with some of Calico’s root-toot- tootiest games. Also in Ghost Town is Pigpen’s Pig Pen, where everyone’s favorite messy pal will join the rest of the Peanuts gang as he hosts a special meetup at the Livery Stables with some animal friends.
