Get your backpacks ready! The new Camp Snoopy officially opens on June 27th with four new attractions and a lot of summer camp fun with Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang. The reimagined Camp Snoopy will allow campers of all ages to become full-fledged Beagle Scouts as they explore new rides, including a new family rollercoaster, a giant swing, off-road rally, plus new character experiences, interactive camp-tivities and the carefree fun and freedom of summer.
New Adventures in Camp Snoopy
As guests enter the world of Camp Snoopy, they become official campers. They’ll join Beagle Scout Master Snoopy and the entire Peanuts Gang for the camp’s annual jamboree, a fun week of camp competitions and activities. New scouts can begin their adventure at any of the four new or reimagined rides debuting at the High Sierra summer camp.
· Snoopy’s Tenderpaw Twister Coaster allows campers to explore the great outdoors on this first family coaster to take riders up a lift hill and then deliver a pint-sized launch, making this the perfect first, big coaster for parents and kids to experience together. The best part – guests get to ride twice so it’s double the fun and double the adventure every time.
· Sally’s Swing Along is an all-new experience where campers can put their friendship badge in action and go on a swing and sing along to help Sally forget her frustration with Linus who has stood her up for a meet cute. The super-sized swing set offers kids and parents the taste of the good life as they sit side-by-side on the giant bench swing gliding 10 feet toward the sky, back and forth.
· Rocky Mountain Trucking Company transforms into Camp Snoopy’s Off-Road Rally, where drivers race through the newly expanded track and terrain in their own Peanuts-themed four-wheel jeep. In this fun and colorful annual camp jamboree competition, campers will encounter funny road signs and obstacles to go over, around, and under while trying to find course checkpoints along the way.
· Campers can board the newly themed Beagle Express and take a scenic journey on a locomotive ride. They’ll cross over a covered bridge and watch as Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang prepare for the jamboree events. Along the way, fellow campers decorate their cabins for a “Best Cabin” contest, prepare for potato sack races, and more.
· Rounding out the experience is the one-stop shop for campers to fill their bellies at Grizzly Creek Lodge. Campers can also take a trip to renovated Snoopy’s Camp Store to shop for all the essentials needed for camp and then some.
· Finally, the former theater area will now transform into Beagle Scout Acres, a large green space, where kids and families can explore, enjoy lunch or a snack on shaded picnic tables or simply lie back and gaze at the drifting clouds above. Plus, campers of all ages can participate in a host of jamboree camp-tivities including special sing-a-longs around the new campfire fire pit. Guests can expect this new experience to open mid-summer.
Ghost Town Alive!
Your favorite town of Calico comes to life once again this summer with the return of the award-winning, interactive Ghost Town Alive! Guests are invited to become the star of this summer’s new action-packed storyline in the streets of Ghost Town. Each guest has the power to unlock secret missions with characters, influence the day’s events, and take on mind-challenging puzzles in this immersive version of the Old West. Ghost Town Alive! will offer new adventures, roles, and characters this summer on select days starting June 14.
Knott’s Summer Nights
A summer favorite continues after the sun goes down, with a nighttime summer party that extends the fun into the evening. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy bands from the local So-Cal music scene that rotate throughout the event on two stages. Knott’s “Summer Nights” transforms Calico Park into a neighborhood party like no other with a hub of live music, relaxing atmosphere, Instagram-able photo opportunities, and family-friendly games.
A summer party is not complete without an abundance of food and drinks, and no theme park does food quite like Knott’s. Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant Celebrates 90 Years!
“The Famous Fried Chicken Led to the Creation of Southern California’s
First “Themed” Amusement Park“
The story of Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant begins in the 1920s when Walter and Cordelia Knott began farming their acres of leased land in the farm community of Buena Park. To make ends meet, Cordelia began serving hot biscuits and homemade preserves to customers of the family’s roadside produce stand. Word spread, and by 1934 it became necessary for Cordelia to expand her menu to include her now famous country-fried chicken.
On opening day on June 13, 1934, Cordelia served eight 65-cent dinners on her own wedding china. By 1940, visitors were standing in line for hours to enjoy Walter’s boysenberries and Cordelia’s chicken. The challenge of entertaining the crowds led Walter to create an authentic Ghost Town on the property and Southern California’s first “themed” amusement park was born. Today, Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant serves an average of 1,000 chickens daily to eager diners.
As this year marks its 90th anniversary, we are celebrating the legacy of this beloved establishment through a wide range of offerings all year long:

The festival, which runs select dates March 8 – April 28, features an extensive lineup of one-of-a-kind boysenberry food and drink creations, entertainment and fun activities for the whole family!

| Guests are in for a double dose of Knott’s hospitality with the return of the highly-anticipated Knott’s Boysenberry Festival and the grand unveiling of the new Knott’s Hotel. The annual festival inspired by the little berry that started it all opens March 8, and just steps away, the Knott’s Hotel debuts its multimillion-dollar transformation, a new distinctive farmhouse-style overnight experience inspired by park founders Walter and Cordelia Knott. Guests will have the opportunity to indulge in more than 75 recipes at this year’s festival, ranging from savory to sweet; each food and drink item has a unique boysenberry twist that can only be found during this season. The boysenberry on top includes a full lineup of shows, live music and a wide selection of local crafters and artisans for guests of all ages to enjoy. | Knott’s PEANUTS Celebration welcomes fans of all ages to join Snoopy and the PEANUTS gang as they stage a park takeover with plenty of excitement and family-friendly fun starting January 27 and running daily through February 25. The park-wide celebration features a new Franklin-focused exhibit, plenty of new PEANUTS-inspired cuisine, a fun lineup of returning shows and photo ops that allow guests to step into the iconic Charles M. Schulz comic strips. Throughout the park, guests will have plenty of chances to play and interact with their favorite PEANUTS characters.At Calico’s Town Hall, guests will enter a new, limited-time exhibit dedicated to Charles Schulz’s iconic character, Franklin, and discover his importance to history and pop culture. He joined the PEANUTS Gang in 1968 when Charlie Brown met Franklin at the beach. Plus, visitors can hang out with Franklin and snap a photo with him that is too cool for school!At the Calico Mine Stage, the PEANUTS characters will perform the musical game show It’s Your Life, Charlie Brown, with the loveable title character getting the surprise of his life. There will be music, fun and surprise guests, including the world’s most famous beagle, Snoopy. The stage will transform at nightfall as the park hosts Snoopy’s Legendary Rooftop Concert. The Peanuts Gang has teamed up with the indie band, The Jelly of the Month Club, for a high-energy spectacle sure to have everyone dancing.The PEANUTS-inspired festivities will continue at the Bird Cage Theatre as the park offers an experience that teaches the young and the young at heart how to draw their favorite PEANUTS characters. Knott’s Berry Farm Promises More to Explore in 2024 as a Reimagined Camp Snoopy Debuts New Outdoor Adventures for Guests of All Ages!
An off-road adventure, a new family roller coaster, a giant swing, and the carefree fun of summer camp bring so much to explore in 2024 at Knott’s Berry Farm. Today, the theme park released exciting details about its six-acre, reimagined Camp Snoopy set to open Memorial Day weekend. Inspired by the California High Sierras, Camp Snoopy is the place where the iconic Peanuts Gang made its first debut outside the comic strip back when it opened in 1983. The reimagined land will allow campers of all ages to become full-fledged Beagle Scouts as they explore new rides, new character experiences, new entertainment, a new dining hall, a new camp store, plus more seating and ambiance.
“Experiencing first rides and first theme park moments as a family, is what Knott’s is all about,” said Jon Storbeck, vice president and general manager. “Our newly reimagined Camp Snoopy will allow parents and kids to ride and play together and be truly immersed in a summer camp experience right alongside the entire Peanuts Gang.”
Camp Snoopy 2024
As guests cross into the world of Camp Snoopy, they’ll become official campers, joining Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang for the camp’s annual jamboree, a fun week of camp competitions and activities. They can begin their adventure at Beagle Scout Headquarters at the new Snoopy’s Tenderpaw Twister Coaster, where Beagle Scout Master Snoopy and his troop will take them on a new first coaster experience through the forest.
Snoopy’s Tenderpaw Twister is the only family coaster that takes parents and kids up a lift hill and delivers a pint-sized launch, making this a first, big coaster experience for everyone. The best part is that guests get to ride twice so it’s double the fun and double the adventure every time.
Rocky Mountain Trucking Company will be transformed into the new Camp Snoopy’s Off-Road Rally. Guests will jump into their own colorful four-wheel jeep, each themed to Snoopy or a Peanuts character, drive through an expanded track and terrain, and race to the finish line. In this fun and colorful road rally, riders will encounter funny road signs and obstacles to go over, around, and under. Success is measured not by speed but by how many course checkpoints can be found.
Sally’s Swing Along is a new experience and offers a carefree break from camp life. Not your backyard variety, this super-sized swing set is big enough for the entire Peanuts gang! Kids and parents can sit side-by- side on the giant bench swing and glide 10 feet toward the sky, back and forth, giggling and getting a taste of the good life.
Campers who want to test their Beagle Scout skills and earn their merit badges will be able to explore the great outdoors at the Barrell Bridge and Waterfall area of the camp. With a brand-new lookout terrace area, parents can relax up top or join in the fun down below as the kids navigate the bouncy, buoy-like barrel bridges to explore the cave and waterfall as Snoopy’s canoe teeter-totters up above.
For a scenic journey throughout Camp Snoopy, campers will board the newly upgraded Beagle Express and take a locomotive ride through a series of camp vignettes, crossing over a covered bridge, and watching as Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang prepare for the jamboree events. They’ll see fellow campers along the route decorating their cabins for a “Best Cabin” contest and getting ready for potato sack races and more.
It’s not officially summer camp until you sing songs around the campfire. At the new Camp Snoopy Theater, campers will gather under a giant, new rustic-themed theater, filled with log benches for seating that surround a large firepit at the base of the stage. The firepit will be lit in the evenings for special campfire entertainment. During the day, the theater will debut a new Camp Snoopy show and offer more shade and a larger stroller parking area.
Meet-and-greets with Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, Pigpen, Sally, Marcie and, of course, Snoopy will now be found throughout Camp Snoopy at varying times daily.
Guest favorite Woodstock’s Airmail reopens in a new area called Camp Post Office. Guests will strap into their seats and once again soar into the sky and back down again with Snoopy’s favorite feathered friend.
And finally, rounding out the experience will be an updated Grizzly Lodge dining hall, with new décor and menu items, new family restrooms, and an immersive new Snoopy Camp Store with all the essentials needed for camp and then some.
FUN IS ALWAYS IN SEASON
Knott’s is proud to announce its annual Seasons of Fun lineup, starting in January when the beloved PEANUTS characters take over the entire park for Knott’s Peanuts Celebration, January 27-February 25.
SPRING
• In the spring, the famous Knott’s Boysenberry Festival returns March 8 – April 28 with countless
one-of-a-kind boysenberry-inspired food and drink offerings created by Knott’s culinary team,
artisan crafters, live shows, music, and entertainers around every corner. SUMMER
- Summer 2024 brings back two favorites – Ghost Town Alive! immersing guests in the western town of Calico in all sorts of new adventures and role play, and Knott’s Summer Nights, where the fun heats up when the sun goes down, with Tastes of Summer, the best of So Cal’s local music scene plus backyard fun from Calico Park to Charleston Circle. Both events run from June 14 – September 2.
- Summertime at Knott’s wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Knott’s Soak City Waterpark May 18 – Sept 8, where guests can catch a ride down 23 different speed, tube, and body slides or take a relaxing trip down one of the longest lazy rivers in the country.FALL
- For fall, the spooktacular family-friendly daytime Halloween event, Knott’s Spooky Farm, runsSeptember 26 – October 31 plus Columbus Day, and invites little ghouls to wear their favoritecostumes and go trick-or-treating.
- And of course, for those guests who dare, Knott’s Scary Farm, California’s longest-running,Halloween theme park event, promises terrifying scare zones and frightening mazes fromSeptember 19 – November 2.
WINTER
• The year will end with Snoopy, snow, and Santa, at Knott’s Merry Farm, November 22 – January 5,
where guests will be immersed in classic holiday cheer as they enjoy festive treats, holiday shows, and Snoopy and the PEANUTS in their annual show on ice.
