Knott’s Boysenberry Festival is back and bigger than ever!
Beginning March 18th and extending daily through April 24th!
The festival features more than two dozen new boysenberry food and drink creations, an expansive selection of entertainment and fun activities for the whole family
The Knott’s Boysenberry Festival is our annual food-inspired event that celebrates the park’s historic roots by highlighting the little berry that started it all, the boysenberry. Guests will have the opportunity to indulge in a tantalizing lineup of dishes ranging from savory foods with a boysenberry twist to one-of-a-kind specialty desserts and drinks that you can only find at Knott’s Berry Farm during this time of the year. In addition to the numerous food and drink offerings, the Knott’s Boysenberry Festival offers a wide selection of local crafters, live music, musical stage shows and fun activities for guests of all ages to enjoy. The Knott’s Boysenberry Festival runs a full extra week this year starting March 18, operating daily through April 24, 2022. This year’s event will introduce entirely new food offerings featuring a selection of more than two dozen food and drink items. A few new items to note include:
- Crab Sushi Roll with a Boysenberry Aioli
- Chicken Dumplings with a Boysenberry Wonton and a Teriyaki Dipping Sauce
- Boysenberry Horchata
- Chicken Cordon Bleu with a Boysenberry Cheese Sauce
- Trio of Sausage with Peppers and Onions on Boysenberry Polenta
- Spring Fling Salad with Shrimp and a Boysenberry Vinaigrette
- Boysenberry Filled Donut Open Faced Chicken Sandwich with an Aioli Drizzle
- Deconstructed Lemonade with Blackberries, Loganberries, and Red Raspberries
- Boysenberry Rocky Road Brownie
- Boysenberry Pie Bars
- Boysenberry Slushy Mudslide (alcoholic)
- Boysenberry Seltzer
- Prosecco with Hibiscus and Boysenberry
- Boysenberry Sweet Tea with Vodka A great way to indulge in the new boysenberry food items during the festival is by purchasing a tasting card priced at $50 (or $45 for season pass holders). The tasting card will offer six tastings from a selection of 25 boysenberry-inspired dishes and drinks. A variety of signature boysenberry items will also be available for purchase a la carte. Tasting cards are available at Knotts.com or at the theme park. Guests can also create over 75 unique boysenberry-inspired creations with limited edition merchandise found throughout the park. This year’s new merchandise includes a selection of packaged food items perfect for take-home souvenirs like the new boysenberry microbrew BBQ sauce, boysenberry crème brulé coffee, boysenberry brownie cookies, boysenberry pepper bacon spread and boysenberry balsamic grilling glaze. The Berry Market, located in the California Marketplace, also features signature boysenberry items like the refreshing boysenberry sarsaparilla and our classic jams and preserves. Unique boysenberry-inspired artisan products will also be available at the Boysenberry Festival Craft Fair returning with 30 local craft vendors. Each crafter features its own boysenberry-themed items. Knott’s Boysenberry Festival also offers endless entertainment throughout the park. From musical performances to fun interactive games, there is something for every member of the family to enjoy.

- Guests are invited to join Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the entire Peanuts Gang in the musical stage show Snoopy’s Boysenberry Jamboree! The show is sure to have families dancing and singing along at the Calico Mine Stage
- Knott’s pays tribute to its past at the legendary Bird Cage Theatre with a special presentation of the brand-new comedy melodrama, Riverboat Revenge. All aboard for this boysenberry bon voyage!
- Get in on the fun with some of the craziest and messiest games in Calico. Try your berry best in our Boysenberry Fun and Games, including the wildly entertaining Boysenberry Pie Eating Contest.
- Young ones and young at heart are invited to cozy up to the cutest critters on the farm, including horses, sheep, goats and other furry friends. Old MacDonald’s Barn pays tribute to one of the farm’s original attractions.
- A classic returns! Travel back to the ’80s as you dance the night away to the decade’s best songs at Knott’s Totally Tubular 80’s Dance Party.
- Pull up a chair as our blues trio, the Boysenberry Blues, conjures up some of the smoothest tunes performing at the Boardwalk BBQ patio.
- You can also grab a seat (and a plate!) at Fireman’s BBQ, where various musical duos take the stage with a selection of bluegrass and country tunes, they will have your toes a-tappin’ and your hands a clappin’!
- Enjoy the sounds from South of the Border in Fiesta Village as the Mariachi Angelitas present a lively show filled with rich history and tradition.
- Grab a slice of history in our museum History of the Boysenberry dedicated to the berry that started it all! The Boysenberry Festival is included with admission to Knott’s Berry Farm or with a special Knott’s Hotel Boysenberry Package that includes overnight accommodations steps from the park, a tasting card, parking and more. Knott’s PEANUTS Celebration
DAILY beginning January 22 through March 6
The year kicks off its Seasons of Fun with the return of Knott’s PEANUTS Celebration, a celebration dedicated to the world Charles M. Schultz created. This festive celebration is now running daily, beginning on January 22 through March 6, 2022. Guests can step into PEANUTS comic strips, as the beloved Gang takes over the entire park, with experiences that allow fans of all ages to play and interact with their favorite PEANUTS characters. The celebration also includes delicious PEANUTS-inspired food, reimagined live shows, new specially-themed décor, and the addition of a new friend to join in on all the fun.
Knott’s Boysenberry Festival

Knott’s Boysenberry Festival is back and bigger than ever, with an additional week to celebrate the little berry that started it all. This annual food festival runs from March 18 and extends through April 24. This year’s lineup will feature new and returning boysenberry creations ranging from savory foods to specialty drinks and tasty treats, all created by Knott’s Culinary Team. In addition to all the delicious
offerings, guests can experience a wide selection of entertainment, live music and fun activities for the whole family.
Summer at Knott’s
May 20 through September 5
In 2022, your favorite town of Calico comes to life once again with the return of the immersive western adventure, Ghost Town Alive! Guests are invited to become a part of this summer’s action-packed storyline in the streets of Ghost Town. Ghost Town Alive! will offer new adventures, roles, characters, and entertainment during summertime at Knott’s starting May 20 through September 5.
The summer fun does not stop there because when the sun goes down, the nighttime event begins with Knott’s Summer Nights. This party after dusk offers a variety of live music, classic summer eats and games for the whole family to enjoy. Guests can also experience unique photo opportunities and fun interactions with the Party Planning Crew of Summer Nights who help make it an event to remember.
Summertime at Knott’s wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Knott’s Soak City Waterpark, open May 28 through September 11. Guests can catch a ride down 23 different speed, tube, and body slides or take a relaxing trip down one of the longest lazy rivers in the country. The 15-acre water park has something for each member of the family, an interactive kid’s area, and for those more adventurous, The Wedge, a rip-roaring raft ride.
Knott’s Scary Farm
Select nights starting September 22 through October 31
Knott’s Scary Farm, Southern California’s largest immersive Halloween experience, will be returning for its 49th year with terrifying new scares. There is nowhere to hide as frights await you at every turn and more than 1,000 monsters roam the park and lurk in the fog, waiting to feed on the blood-curdling screams of guests.
This specially ticketed event takes place on select nights starting September 22 through October 31. Due to the explicit and frightening nature of the event, it is not recommended for children under 13
Knott’s Spooky Farm
Daytime weekends starting October 1 through October 30 plus Halloween
Enjoy the Halloween season at Knott’s Spooky Farm, a family-friendly fall time celebration. Little ghouls can trick-or-treat around the town of Calico’s shops and buildings to collect sweet treats from the friendly townsfolk. Families can join in on the Halloween fun as the park is transformed with themed décor and spooky surprises. The daytime festival will return in 2022 on weekends starting October 1 through October 30 in addition to Halloween.

November 18 through January 1, 2023
Everyone’s favorite time of the year returns with Knott’s Merry Farm, beginning November 18 through January 1, 2023. The park completely transforms with whimsical décor and thousands of twinkling lights throughout every corner. Families can enjoy the holidays in Santa’s Christmas Cabin by sharing their wish lists with jolly ol’ St. Nick himself and grabbing his famous milk and cookies.
The streets of Ghost Town fill with Calico Carolers performing songs of the season while you explore an array of local artisans selling unique gifts perfect for loved ones in the Christmas Crafts Village. In the nighttime, you can enjoy a magical Snow and Glow experience dancing to the beat of holiday music while snow gently falls in a one-of-a-kind moment.
Knott’s Merry Farm has entertainment for guests of all ages to enjoy, with each stage filled with lively shows designed to put everyone in the holiday spirit! With energetic entertainment, beautiful holiday décor, and delicious seasonal treats, Knott’s Merry Farm is sure to create lasting holiday memories for the whole family.

Buena Park, CA (February 2020) – The Knott’s Boysenberry Festival is an annual food-inspired event that celebrates the park’s historic roots by highlighting the little berry that started it all, the boysenberry. This year’s festival will feature more than 75 unique boysenberry-inspired creations crafted by the Knott’s culinary team. Guests will have the opportunity to indulge in a tantalizing line up of dishes ranging from savory foods with a boysenberry twist, to one-of-a-kind specialty desserts and drinks that can only be found at Knott’s Berry Farm during this time of the year. In addition to the numerous food and drink offerings, the Knott’s Boysenberry Festival offers a wide selection of local crafters, live music, musical stage shows and fun activities for guests of all ages to enjoy. The Knott’s Boysenberry Festival runs 31 days starting March 20, operating daily through April 19, 2020. This year’s event will introduce an entirely new food lineup featuring a selection of 26 food and drink tasting items. The new lineup includes:
- Refreshing lemonade with basil and boysenberry
- Boysenberry Beer cheese soup with a boysenberry drizzle topped with brown butter croutons
- Sautéed brussel sprouts topped with boysenberry balsamic and bacon
- Tender beef tips served with creamy boysenberry mashed potato

- Two chicken drumsticks bathed in boysenberry BBQ sauce

A great way to indulge in the new boysenberry food items during the festival is by purchasing a tasting card priced at $40 and $38 for season pass holders. The tasting card will offer eight tastings from a selection of 26 boysenberry-inspired dishes and drinks. A variety of signature boysenberry items will also be available for purchase a la carte. Guest can also take home a taste of the boysenberry festival with limited edition merchandise found throughout the park. This year’s new merchandise includes a new selection of event themed apparel, pajama sets, festival-inspired parasols plus new packaged food items perfect for take-home souvenirs like the new boysenberry tequila and whiskey and spiced wine preserves, boysenberry Irish cream coffee, boysenberry cake batter cookies, boysenberry vinaigrette dressing, boysenberry hot sauce, and boysenberry sarsaparilla. The Knott’s Berry Market also features signature boysenberry items like the delicious boysenberry BBQ sauce and our classic jams and preserves. Unique boysenberry inspired artisan products will also be available at the Boysenberry Festival Craft Fair returning with 30 local craft vendors, each crater will feature a boysenberry theme items.

Knott’s Boysenberry Festival offers endless entertainment options for the festival goer:
- Snoopy’s Boysenberry Jamboree! – Guests are invited to join Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the entire Peanuts Gang in a musical stage show that will have families dancing along at the Calico Mine Stage
- Riverboat Revenge – Knott’s pays tribute to its past at the Legendary Bird Cage Theatre with a special presentation of the brand new comedy melodrama, Riverboat Revenge. All Aboard for this Boysenberry Bon Voyage!
- Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies – A group of krazy talented performers will have guests toe tappin’, vine dancin’ and knee-slappin’ to a comedic country music show at the Wagon Camp stage.
- Boysenberry Fun and Games – Get in on the fun of some of the craziest and messiest games along with our famous Boysenberry Pie Eating Contest.
- Old MacDonald’s Farm – Young ones and young at heart are invited to cozy up to the cutest critters on the farm including horses, sheep, goats and other furry friends. Old MacDonald’s Farm pays tribute to one of the farm’s original attractions
- Knott’s Totally Tubular 80’s Dance Party – A Classic returns! Travel back to the 80’s as you dance the night away to the best songs of the decade.
- Boysenberry Blues – Pull up a chair as our blues trio conjures up some of the smoothest tunes performing at the Boardwalk BBQ patio
- Musical Performances – Various musical duos playing Country and Bluegrass tunes will take the stage at Fireman’s BBQ.
- DJ Cruz – Knott’s resident DJ keeps the night pumpin’ with the latest dance hits sure to make you hit the dance floor
- History of the Boysenberry – Grab a slice of history in our museum dedicated to the fruit that made it all possible
The Boysenberry Festival is included with admission to Knott’s Berry Farm. Additional costs apply for food tasting experiences within the event. Knott’s will have extended hours on select days March 20 – April 19, allowing guests extra time to take advantage of all of the limited-time offerings.
The best way to savor every day of the Knott’s Boysenberry Festival and all of the other Seasons of Fun is with a 2020 Season Pass. A Regular Season Pass includes unlimited admission in 2020 to Knott’s Berry Farm with no blackout dates, and a Gold Season Pass includes unlimited admission in 2020 to both Knott’s Berry Farm and Knott’s Soak City Waterpark with no blackout dates. Regular passes are just $101 or six easy payments of $13.50 after an initial payment and Gold Passes are $125 or six easy payments of just $17.00 after an initial payment. The Knott’s Boysenberry Festival has officially opened!
The park’s annual food-inspired event celebrates Knott’s Berry Farm’s historic roots by highlighting the little berry that started it all, the boysenberry. This year’s festival features over 75 new and returning boysenberry-inspired creations crafted by Knott’s very own culinary team. In addition to tasty treats the Knott’s Boysenberry Festival offers a wide selection of daily entertainment, live music and fun activities for everyone in the family to enjoy. The festival offers guests the opportunity to indulge in a delicious variety of new and returning boysenberry infused treats which can only be found at the park exclusively during this limited time event.
New Food Items For 2018:
– The boysenberry quesadilla made with a boysenberry-infused flour tortilla, served with boysenberry salsa, boysenberry sour cream with cotija and mozzarella cheese
– Boysenberry s pierogies served with sautéed onions, Applewood bacon and boysenberry whipped cream
– Slow cooked boysenberry short ribs, the juicy meat is smothered in a boysenberry hoisin sauce served over butter basmati rice and completed with chopped green onions
– The all-new boysenberry boba tea which consists of boysenberry milk tea and chewy berry-soaked tapioca balls served over ice
– The festival also offers a variety of sharable snacks for the family including a new vegetarian/vegan option, boysenberry hummus served with pita bread and prepared with garden-fresh boysenberries
– The boysenberry elote, lightly grilled corn is smothered in fresh boysenberry butter, mayo and perfectly topped off with cotija cheese
– A grilled boysenberry sausage on a baked roll topped with boysenberry ketchup, mustard and relish
– Scrumptious bite-sized boysenberry coconut macaroons, dipped in a decadent chocolate ganache, which are great to enjoy while strolling through the park
