The holiday season at Knott’s Merry Farm promises to be merry and bright as the park debuts the new ‘Tis the Season Tree Lighting Ceremony. The event in Calico Park invites everyone to kick off the evening’s holiday celebration with dancers, singers, and, of course, Snoopy. Also this year, guest favorites return along with new food offerings and new merchandise as the park transforms into a dazzling winter wonderland featuring a landscape of thousands of twinkling lights and miles of beautiful garland.
Christmas in Calico continues as the Snow and Glow experience fills the buildings and paths with thousands of lights dancing to the beat of Christmas music while “snow” gently falls throughout Ghost Town. The Wilderness Dance Hall transforms into Santa’s Christmas Cabin, where the entire family can create fond memories by taking photos with Santa Claus and his friends. At The Bird Cage Theatre, Knott’s melodrama company presents a reimagined Charles Dickens classic, A Calico Christmas Carol. The theatre will also present the heartwarming Knott’s version of O. Henry’s classic tale of love and sacrifice, The Gift of the Magi, 1885.
Knott’s own vocal quartet, the Calico Carolers, transports guests back in time to a Victorian Christmas as they perform the season’s songs throughout the streets of Ghost Town. A down-home dose of Christmas cheer is in store for those who join Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies for a foot-stompin’ show with energetic music and comedy for the whole family. Yuletide cheer is in store with Home for the Holidays, where joyous merriment takes over the Calico Mine Stage with dancing and fun set to popular holiday tunes.
Over at the Walter Knott Theater, Snoopy and the Peanuts gang take to the ice in Snoopy’s Night Before Christmas. This guest favorite returns with the Knott’s Ice-Skating Ensemble and Snoopy retelling the classic poem “A Visit from St. Nicholas” re-imagined Peanuts style.
At the Fiesta Plaza Stage, guests can enjoy Latin Caribbean and New York salsa as well as current American top 40 songs, but with a Latin band format and rhythms provided by Adelaide Pilar.

Summertime at Knott’s means fun all day and night. During the day, guests are invited take part in an immersive western adventure with Ghost Town Alive! When the sun goes down, Knott’s Summer Nights begins with a variety of live music, classic summer eats and games for the whole family to enjoy.
And in the Summer, the major changes to Fiesta Village will be unveiled to reveal a completely revitalized area! Knott’s Scary Farm is Southern California’s longest running and most haunting Halloween theme park event. With 50 years of never-ending nightmares, unimaginable scares and innovative thrills, Knott’s Scary Farm has left no tomb unearthed, no crypt unrattled and no fear untouched. This year’s lineup is a culmination of decades of terror that no one will want to miss.

Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel has kicked off a multi-million-dollar renovation that includes an exciting thematic reimagining and a complete overhaul of the entire resort, including its signature restaurant and bar, lobby, meeting space and more. Each of the hotel’s 322 spacious guest rooms will be updated with a modern, thoughtful design. The hotel also plans to modernize 25,000 square feet of indoor meeting spaces with inspirations from the Knott family. The renovation project is set to be completed in Summer 2023. The Jitterbug Pop Swing Band provides the tunes and you’re invited to dance the night away in the legendary Boardwalk Ballroom. Dance instruction classes included!
- Fiesta Plaza will feature DJ Ashley playing upbeat Latin and top 40 music.
- A New Year’s Eve celebration is not complete without a delicious meal. Spur’s Restaurant is serving up a special New Year’s Eve Buffet from 5:30 pm-10 pm. Walk-Up only, regular park admission or Season Pass required.
This New Year’s Eve offers an exciting day on the Farm with Knott’s Merry Farm’s festive lineup of entertainment, delectable foods, and holiday shopping! A few of this year’s seasonal highlights include:
- Merry Christmas, Snoopy!, in this exciting show filled with whimsy and spectacular ice skating, Snoopy enjoys all of the best parts of the season, including trimming the Christmas tree, awaiting Santa’s arrival, and attending the festive Christmas Ball!
- When the sun sets on the farm, the buildings and paths in Ghost Town twinkle brightly to the beat of a holiday favorite as snow gently falls on all guests. Park guests can enjoy more of the nightly Snow & Glow experience in most of Ghost Town, from School House Road to the Saloon and down to the Assay Office.
- The holiday season celebration continues at Camp Snoopy with A Peanuts Guide to Christmas at the Camp Snoopy Theatre. Featuring a delightful mash-up of holiday songs with a cheerful and heartwarming dose of the Peanuts gang.
- In the intimate setting of Ghost Town’s historic Bird Cage Theatre, catch A Christmas Carol and Marley’s Wings.
- Savor the ultimate comfort foods with Knott’s world-famous holiday treats. Santa’s Christmas Cabin serves up holiday delights like Santa’s homemade cookies and more. Guests can also enjoy the legendary cooking at Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant.
- Relax and unwind in Knott’s Christmas Crafts Village, as Ghost Town transforms into a shopping wonderland filled with dozens of local artisans selling their unique gifts.
Knott’s New Year’s Eve Celebration is included with regular daytime admission. Park hours on New Year’s Eve are 8 am to 1 am. A 2022 Knott’s Season Pass is a great way to visit on New Year’s Eve. A new 2022 Season Pass includes a free visit to enjoy in 2021, visits in 2022 with no blackout dates, discounts on select food and merchandise, and access to exciting year-round seasonal events.
